    excellent!

Were skeptical when read the perfect reviews... however, couldn't be more wrong. The food arrived so quickly, still hot, very fresh ingredients, everything was superb. For the two of us: two pastas, two appetizers, two desserts - $63!!! Super generous sized portions I have to add. LOVED it. Will be ordering and will be telling all of our friends. Would like to visit too! Thank you so much, this was a perfect evening in of great Italian and a movie.

    a great find

amazing value, really authentic Italian home cooking, in a modest pleasant storefront on a picturesque street. We had dinner here. The fish and pasta both were superb. Friendly, welcoming and utterly unpretentious.

Stopped in for a bite, will be back!

My husband and I stopped in after shopping across the street at a boutique- the woman recommended going to Barbarini, and we were not disappointed! I ordered the frisee salad and side of bean salad, my husband had a tomatoe and mozzerella sandwich. They were both DELICIOUS. We will be back, and they deliver as well! The food is light, healthy, homemade, all fresh ingredients. Definitely go here, you will love it like we did. It is perfect for a quick bite, or fantastic lunch.

    One of my favorites

Consistently delicious, great italian fare. If i could eat here every day I would. One of my favorite restaurants in the city because its a chill atmosphere, great value, amazing food and attentive service. I highly recommend going.

    Excellent

Totally amazing and truly authentic Italian food. There's not much by way of atmosphere - just a couple of flimsy tables and bright lighting but I guarantee that you'll forget about that once you try the food. Spaghetti bolognese was amazing. The freshly made pasta that was perfectly done and tastes exactly like something. A salad with grilled shrimp and avocado was fresh and perfect. The other Italian restaurants down there should hold there heads in shame.

Local Favorite for Everyday Italian Fare

This is an every day kind of place. Only a few tables so better for lunch or takeout or a quick dinner. Fairly kid friendly. Also good for coffee later in the evening (when Jack's has closed). Claudio and Stefano are charming and provide excellent service. I have had the oven roasted chicken and granny smith apple, walnuts, home made mayo on ciabatta bread & the handcut spaghetti with fresh pesto, spring beans & the pine nuts & the eggplant, pesto and parmigianno terrino (a favorite!) & the saffron risotto (rice balls) w/greens & red beets, ricotta salata salad (a favorite!) & the frisee apples croutons gorgonzola salad & the grilled shrimp, avocado, mesclun salad (a favorite!) & the fennel with oranges & the cannellini beans, celery and peppers. Simple, fresh fare. Delicious! When you want to avoid the tourist scene and eat in Seaport North.
