So it's my fvorite restaurant in the whole city...shame bout that car jacking crash into baronda but so happy they're back in business. U have to get these 3 things: gnocci in white truffle sauce. If god made a sauce, i think this would be it. Their seared tuna's amazing too. It's grilled so perfectly and for some reason it has a hint of yummy sweetness. And the last is their eggplant rollatinis. O and the best dipping oil for the bread. They'll accomodate you and are very attentive. O AND GO ON A SUNDAY NIGHT---ladies dance on tables. Wine and dancing and perfect dinner is all here. I love the owner.

My boyfriend and I decided to have a date at this wonderful restaurant last summer. We were both from out of town so we didn't have any expectations for the place; we figured it was going to be a regular/normal kind of service/food. Once we arrived to the restaurant, everyonewas great. The hostess was very sweet; the waiter was on top of things. He made the atmosphere so perfect for my boyfriend and I. He took his time to explain everything on the menu spoke some Italian to us, and even played with some napkins and made them into flowers for me. We received a very personal attention at this place. At the end of the night the bill was about $170, at it was worth it, my Food (pasta with lobster) was amazing, the drinks and dessert were just perfect, and the outside sitting was very comfortable!!! I will definitely come back to this restaurant every time I’m in the city. It's just Great.

I have been to this place many times since moving to the city a few years ago. I'm always looking for great Italian places to eat and this is by far my favorite. The people are wonderful and the food is great. True, it's a bit expensive and it can get really busy on the weekends; but what good restaurant isn't.

I do not live in NY anymore, but everytime I go for a visit I never miss going to my favorite restaurant. I do not understand some of these reviews - I have never had a bad experience at Baraonda's. Bruno always goes out of his way to make everyone feel at home. They are always packed and the tables are close together but that just makes for a friendly atmosphere. Can't wait to visit again!!

I know that Baraonda has gotten quite a few bad reviews- but we have had nothing but great experiences here- the service has always been fantastic- everyone is very friendly and they always remember us when we return and greet us warmly. I love the olive oil mixture they serve w/ the bread and the salmon is fantastic. Also LOVE the outside seating when it's nice out. Weekends the place is packed, music is going and everyone is having a great time.

Can't complain about the food although the appetizers are a little pricy; my salad was very good. I wouldn't recommend this place, however, unless you don't care about sitting 3 inches away from the next table (our waiter had to pull out our table and the table next to ours so that I could sit down) and having the staff practically push you out the door. My friend and I both ordered a glass of wine and we each had half a glass left when our plates were removed. Before we could finish, a waiter dropped the check on our table, picked it up again (before we had even looked at it) and the girl who collected our coats when we came in the door came by twice to try to return them to us (by the way, watch out for that because the cost is $2 per coat even though there is nowhere for you to place your things at your table given the tight seating). The atmosphere is nice, but it would be a lot nicer if you were allowed to actually enjoy it.
