    Don't go here

This place is way overpriced, and the food was just mediocre. There are so many cozy little Italian places in the city and this place just doesn't measure up. The ingredients were of poor quality and the food preparation was poorly uted . If you are charging over $30 for an entree, at least use fresh ingredients and make things from scratch. This place should be on Kitchen Nightmares. And dressing your waitstaff in white shirts with black ties doesn't fool anyone. They were unprofessional and a joke, especially the shoddy hostess. And don't be tempted to sit outside, you will have car headlights in your face all night. Spend your money elsewhere, or save yourself $100 and microwave a nice Italian frozen dinner on your own time.

    Great Italian Food

Last night, I went here with my boyfriend expecting some decent Italian food, but we were surprised. Everything they brought to our table was delicious, dare I say, phenomonal. The bread and olive oil melted in our mouths. I never tasted such rich olive oil. The tuna tartare was amazing. My lobster ravioli was to die for. I thought I was in Italy. Then to top it off, the latte was creamy and the tiramisu was scrumptous. The service was so-so, but it didn't matter because the food was so great. I enjoyed the decor of women portraits - what else can you expect in an Italian restaurant. The noise level was a little to high for me, but other than that, this place is great.

    Eh....

Cute place but overpriced for what it was. Entrees should not exceed $30 if there are rips in the seat cushions. The buffalo mozzarella wasn't soft and the tomatoes were not ripe. My filet mignon was not a good piece of meat at all it was touch with fat and some grissle. The side dish was totally bazar kale with some flavorless, rubbery mushrooms. The service was good and the wine was good....not a terrible experience but I would not return unless it was just for drinks at the bar.

    They SMOKE cigarettes here!

Someone call 311 or better yet 911. Doesn't the owners know that smoking is illegal in NY? Apparently they do know because they prepared for it by closing the side doors and windows. We ate there late friday night. The music was good but too loud, people were dancing, food was not bad but then the smoking began. And more and more people seem to light up as well until it became a smoke room. This seems to be the norm at this place but its very uncomfortable for non-smokers. If you don't want to experience second hand smoking, Don't go here at night. Also they break the law and should be fined accordingly. I definitely wont be going back... EVER.

    Pricey and loud

Finally dropped by this local eatery only to be very disappointed. It's very loud - not good for an intimate conversation. The food was OK - I had the polenta special and the gnochetti. It was decent, but forgettable. The bill, however, was not forgettable. Very high for the quality of the food and $11 for a small glass of Pinot Grigio. For what I was served, I'd go to Uva or Bardolino for better-quality food for less money.

    Give it a try

The manager was a little stressed but the wait staff was great. Very knowledgable and friendly. I would definitely eat there again … most tables are outside. But the mozzarella special salad was exceptional if not better. The gnocchi had the perfect sauce and my chicken with asparagus was very good. The banana's desert was the best and go for that if nothing. But with all good experiences, it is the person you get as the serving person that makes the evening and could not have asked for a better one.

    Simply the Best!

While many other restaurants serve overpriced food amidst a trendy decor, this place is the the real deal. The food is outstanding! You can taste the tender-loving care with which each dish is prepared. From the outset, the wonderful selections of wine, freshly made bread with sundried tomatoes and home made delectable pasta dishes are perfection on a plate. The service was fabulous and the ambience is upbeat, fun and trendy without being pretentious. Among all of the great restaurants in New York, this place is my favorite. Sit back, relax and enjoy the perfect place to dine in New York.
