Not only did I appreciate looking at my hot date during dinner :) , but I also appreciated the quality and taste of my pasta dish. I ordered the gnocchi pasta dish and it was very good. The portion and taste were up-to-par. A little expensive for a gnocchi dish but because service was great I did not put a price on my dish for outstanding service. I told the waited I was scheduled to see a show and that I was pressed for time. So, indeed the waiter did not skip a beat and our dinner was served in a timely fashion. Once again, food was tasty. My friend was also satisfied with his meal! I will recommend the place and I will visit again.

I went for brunch this past Sunday with my bf bc the menu looked decent. Upon seating, we ordered some water and my boyfriend gets a bloody mary. It doesn't occur to us to ask the price because we assume it can't be THAT much since it's brunch and bloody mary's are a staple. The bloody mary comes, we order and wait. I notice every table around us had a breadbasket... ours was just "forgotten" and never brought out even after asking for it. The food came, I asked for a diet coke, it tasted like the filter hadn't been cleaned in years. I had two sips and couldn't take it anymore. Even my bf said it was disappointing. Food was simply ok. I got an omelet with deli ham w/ way too salty cheese. I asked for more ketchup & by the time that came around i was practically done. Our hostess was standing behind the curtain peering at everyone (not helping) while sipping a bloody mary. At this point we had already written up the restaurant as poor then the check came. $12 for a bloody mary?! You've got to be kidding me! Both our meals weren't even $12! how can you possibly charge more than a meal for a drink? We asked her if that was correct, she was rude and just said yes that's how much it is. I couldn't believe that it cost 1/4 of our meal. After crappy service, a creepy hostess, and not great food I'll never return.

My husband and I went here and we will never go back. I was excited by the cool looking atmosphere, and am a huge fan of Italian food, but the experience we had while attempting to dine here was so beyond horrendous. We were seated at one of their crowded inside tables, an inch away from our neighbors (I know this is NYC but come on!) and were knocked around so much that at one point a waiter knocked me on the head, throwing my sunglasses on the ground, and forcing me to crawl on the floor looking for them-- while not one staff member even acknowledged, let alone apologized or assisted me in my search. This continued to happen throughout the ordering process-- constant bumping, waiters and hostesses reaching over our heads to talk to each other or pass things around. I was trying to be patient, be cool and let things go, but when our food finally came, and was dropped in front of us, upsetting other things on our table, I was so turned off that I didn't even want to eat anymore. We stood up and walked out.

the only credit i will give this place is the atmosphere. the candle-lit tables and crispy bread/sun-dried tomato dip were also pleasant. however, here's where the trouble started: 1. when it began to rain and we asked the manager if we could move inside from our outdoor table, he said he'd be right back, and never returned. it started raining so bad that the rain was hitting our food and they refused to help move our table closer to the window. 2. our busboy was eager to take our food away halfway through our meals even while there was a significant amount of food still waiting to be eaten. 3. the hostess was rude and turned her head when i asked if they supplied mints. altogether the staff is rude and clearly un-trained. if you're looking to get talked down to while eating a mediacore meal, you should absolutely go here.

My boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant a few weekends ago and were blown away by our experience. I was nervous after reading mixed reviews, but everything was beyond my expectations. The outdoor seating was cozy and very relaxing. Service was great, the waitstaff always made sure our plates were cleared and our wine glasses were filled. The food was absolutely delicious. I tried the gnocchi with truffle cream sauce after hearing raving reviews about it and agree with everyone who loves it. My boyfriend had a different kind of ravioli and was just as happy and satisfied as me. While a little bit on the pricey side, I will definitely be coming back here because I had such a positive experience.

I dined at this restaurant with my boyfriend last night. I knew they serve a great brunch but I wasn't sure if they serve satisfying Italian dishes. Since I experienced a lot of Italian home cooking dishes prepared by an Italian person, I found many Italian restaurant in New York was somewhat disappointing. We ordered Baffalo Mozzarella cheese and tomotoes as as an appetizer(shared), Bolonaise linguini and Vongolez linguini for main dishes, and chocolate mousse for dessert. Everything tasted so wonderful and amazing!! The way pasta is cooked with very fine olive oil was soooo indulzing. The dishes tasted real and authentic Italian food I had in a very local restaurant in Pisa, Italy. I don't understand the other negative reviews about this restaurant, but I had a great eating experience here and will definitely go back soon.

I rarely go out for italian food; I would rather make it myself it is inevitably better. However, this place was divine. The wait-staff was great, she was from Bologna, truly and I could speak to her in italian. Maybe that is why the food was fabulous. the fresh pasta and veal meatballs was just plain yummy. I couldn't have been happier. If you want an inexpensive meal, don't eat on the Upper East Side. It is that simple. Go to little italy or the east village. You might find cheap there or new jersey. I would go back in a heart beat.
