Too Expensive
I was, at first, entirely delighted by the idea of having a new restaurant in the neighborhood, as the area where bar tano is located on 4th ave, sits in a no mans land between park slope and carroll gardens, (gowanus to some/ park slope to others) so having a new restaurant/bar in the area was exciting. However, the cost is absurd, the atmosphere redundant, and the incentive to go there, non-existent. Customers are mislead with a menu that offers shot glasses of beer for $3.50 and full beers for $7- get out of town- no really, please get out of town, if i wanted to pay that much for a beer, i'd head for mid-town manhattan and drink with the tourists at a theme restbar. The food is tasty, but once again way over priced. This restaurant is trying to be something that it cannot, perhaps trying to build up the value of the restaurant itself by presenting such a pricey menu-but fellas its not gonna work, here's an idea- lower your prices and, as a result, improve the dedication of locals to come to your rest-bar, as the 'new' restaurant shtick will soon be old and the owners will wish they called it quits on pushing bar toto 2-
