Went here because of the burger hype but was disappointed... Not enough burger for the bread/fixins they pile on. The french fries were good.

After hearing so much about Bar Tabac I was hugely disappointed in both the service and atmosphere. The service was less than spectacular.. the food was okay but the atmosphere was not.. drinkers hanging over you while waiting for tables, jammed people hanging out on the sidewalk and in the exits. We needed to push our way through the crowd. This is more of a bar scene than a restaurant to sit and enjoy a meal!!

the brunch food was good and well prepared and presented, but the service was unbelievable. the server seemed unhappy to be at work and bothered by us sitting at her table. when she came by to ask if we needed anything she walked away before we could get a word out. also they were blasting 90's sing along rock like it was an Irish Sports Pub or something. with a few tweaks could be lovely.

My husband and I went to Bar Tabac for dinner last night. After reading all the reviews from different web sites, I was a little worry. But we had a really nice dinner. The food was good. The service was good. There was live music that we both enjoy. It was a little crowded for a Monday night, but we didn't mind at all. We already talking about going back soon.

Stay away!! I should have listened to the reviews before I dined today. The food was average at best, we waited 15 minutes for a table. The food took 20 minutes. The good was decent, but our waiter, he was so incredibly rude. He was grungy, did not smile, and just made rude comments the entire time we were there. There are so many great restaurants on Smith Street where you can have great food and people who care about there patrons. This is not one fo them, they should really invest in better staff, because this will break you in the restaurant biz. Save your money and go somewhere else who appreciates their customers.

Great French bistro fare. The best salade nicoise I've had better than in France! The staff is not unfriendly or rude as a reviewer mentioned below they are unobtrusive and attentive. (The only reason a waiter would do the action described below would be if you leave a poor tip try being generous lady and you will get treated better!) Oh and the burger is affordable AND to die for!

Had Sunday Brunch last weekend with my daughter and wife, the french toast and the eggs benedict can compete with the best of them. In fac these were the best of them. wait staff were fine, waiting time was about 20 minutes and of what i could hear, the music was good. The singer came around with a basket and i almost asked "for what?" who could hear you back here, but i didn't. i WILL go back and try it out for dinner, you should as well..
