Very small and you practically have to fight for a table but I think it is worth it. A huge variety of wines available, I went with my girlfriend who is really into wine and she was impressed. The tapas food is good, we sampled the sandwich, mussels, a plate of ham and the churros for dessert. All the food was excellent. Service was ok, everyone was really nice but it can be hard to get their attention in the atmosphere, not really their fault though. The place is a little pricey in my opinion but this is Manhattan and so this isn't that surprising. Overall definitely recommended for a visit.

I have been to this restaurant before. The food is fine but there are better places. I arrived here at 4:53pm once when there was a blizzard. The snooty, young staff told me rudely that I needed to wait outside until 5pm when they open. At 5pm, I asked if I could come in. In a tone that was not friendly I was told yes. We waited about 10 minutes for menus. We waited about 15 minutes more, & our order was never taken. I am a concierge in NYC, & I will always share this experience with guests. This is not a good choice for tapas.

Bar Jamon is a fabulous place to go for wine and small plates of delicious food. I recommend going with only one other person - as it is somewhat small and there are no reservations - but the experience is worth the wait. I have been numerous times and every time is better thn the next!
