Really cool
Small, unmarked bar with really great appetizers and atmosphere. Someone has to tell you about it in order to find it. Very friendly spot. Good food and drinks. Feels like you've gone back in time.

Hidden!
This is a cool little place. It's completely hidden and I was not aware of its existance despite living a block away for 3 years until a friend of mine tipped me off to the unmarked door on 46th street. It looks like you're about to walk into an apartment, and then wham you're in a secret lounge. Cool atmosphere, very mellow. Small tables and some room at the bar. I had a couple drinks at the bar and a look at them menu convinced me I would come back to try the tapas- great looking selection. Nice to have a place in the neighborhood that the tourists don't know about and can't see walking by :)
