Good food, but cheaper eats nearby
Okay, the baos are certainly tasty (Had the skirt steak bao, pork belly bao, vegetarian bao, and the peanuts). However, ~$4 a bao is not the best value, considering Chinatown is nearby (okay, granted food quality at the $1 dumpling places isn't as high as Baohaus). The meats were very tender and flavorful, and there was just enough crushed peanuts, 'relish', and cilantro to flavor and not overwhelm each bao. Among the 3 I ate, I'd probably get the pork belly again.

mediocre
Wasn't terribly impressed with the Baos or the funny peanuts (soaked in oil or something). Took about 15 minutes to get 3 Baos. The place wasn't bad but wasn't great either.

Im addicted
I have used menupages for many years relying heavily on other people's reviews but never feeling compelled enough to write one of my own (until now of course) The vegetarian bao was AMAZING. I am officially addicted and though I am totally stuffed to the gill I am craving some more

Cozy and delicious
the bao were fantastic (i think the pork was my favorite, but all three were awesome) the peanuts were delicious (though i could go a little more vinegar) and the atmosphere was friendly and fun. loved it!

amazing food and great atmosphere!
I went to Baohaus on Saturday night with a few friends, and I will definitely be going back! The food is delicious (I tried the tofu buns and the steak buns, both were amazing) and the atmosphere is great. The tofu buns had an amazing sauce that made the sandwich delicious (seriously the tastiest tofu I've ever eaten), and the steak buns were tender and perfectly complemented by the peanuts, scallions, and other toppings. I got a side of the peanuts, and somehow these guys took normal peanuts and turned them into melt-in-your-mouth vinegary amazingness. The guys working there were laughing and joking around with their customers, and everyone was having a great time. This place is well worth a special trip to the LES, and if you are in the neighborhood you should make it a point to stop by.
