A great Cheap & Cheerful
A group of us went there for post-cocktail dinner last night, not expecting much, but wow. The pho was great, two people had the sandwiches and kept talking about them all night, I had the rice cake (but everyone kept stealing bits of it) someone else had the spring rolls. It was all good, and very reasonable. Nobody had any problem with the service at all - the waiter was chatty, but not pushy, and he was more than happy to get us whatever we needed, or be asked to move chairs & table around to fit our group, whatever. My only gripe is I wish they stayed open later - it would be a fantastic late-night place, and in the Village, most places usually do stay open late. So get there early!

food is great but...
I love this place. The Pho is great compared to most of the NYC options but they really need to do something about their service. The waiter needs to back off and let the customer enjoy what is, fantastic fare. The dining experience isn't about the waiter and how much he knows. It's about the food! Don't assume your customers are naive! Let the food do the talking!

Good eats!
I wanted to try their cold nice noodle with bbq chicken but those menu is only for dinner.... I got pork & egg sand. I asked for very spicy. The spiciness really shined my sandwich.

Best Pho in N.Y.C.
I'm Vietnamese. I've grown up eating pho and I've been to Vietnam and had pho there. This place has, in my opinion, the best pho in NY. It's hearty and comforting. The ingredients are fresh. It reminds me of how my grandma used to make it but probably even better because of the superior ingredients (Sorry ba noi!). The other dishes there also pleasantly surprised me. The chef gives Vietnamese food a tiny modern twist while still remaining completely authentic. The beef tongue was exceptional. The rice cake with duck egg and Chinese sausage was to die for- my personal childhood favorite. The banh mi are also good. I prefer the original. The others I could live without. The pho- I could not live without!! I can not stop raving about this place! The prices for the banh mi are extremely decent. The prices for the actual food seem pretty standard. Not too expensive, not dirt cheap either. Worth it though! I will be coming back again soon.

Best Ban Mi in NYC
Been here adleast 5 times since they opened. Only for the takeout menu. There still working out the service kinks. Be patient. The sandwiches though are so fresh and a Great value. Be specific in ordering your level of spiciness. The noodle dishes are good as well. Can't wait to check out the eat-in dinner menu.

Fresh!
I had the classic Ban Mi. The ingredients were fresh and it was made to order. The baguette was chewy and had great flavor. The only complaint was that the papaya salad was served in a plastic to-go container even though I sat at a table. However, it was flavorful.
