    Love the sandwiches

I'm a sandwich lover and I have tried all Viet sandwiches in the city including the authentic ones from Chinatown and Brooklyn. They all taste great and distinct in their own ways however the classic sandwiches from here is one of the BEST tasting sandwiches because it's not as dry as the authentic ones and it's has more flavor to it. So I would definitely recommend this place. Even though it cost a little more than some places, prices are still reasonable because of the location. I just wish the service was a little faster, other than that I would give it 5 star.

    Awesome

The banh mi here is just awesome. Some of these reviews say too expensive or "less authentic" than other E. Village options, whatever it's a little more expensive but it's a lot better. I live a few blocks away and I'm basically addicted to these sandwiches. The pork chop sandwich is my favorite, the classic is my second favorite. The sloppy was just a little too sloppy for my taste. I haven't tried anything else here.

Everything good except the catfish sandwich!

I love this place. The sloppy bao and pork chop sandwiches are my faves. Had the catfish signature sandwich on my last visit and the fish was dry, rubbery and hard at the same time. I don't know if that was a fluke or not, but it was not good. Pho and summer rolls are also solid.

    Delicious

Not sure what the bad reviews are about. I split two sandwiches and both were delicious and the ingredients were very fresh. Also, is very reasonably priced. The service was a little slow but the food was worth the 15 minute wait for take-out. Will be back soon.

I live in the EV and am a HUGE fan of Bao's Lex Ave and Christopher St Locations

. . .but this one just didn't cut it. Seemed way less fresh and put together much more sloppily than what I'm used to at the other two locations. It's a shame because I live very close to this one and when I am craving one usually have to either walk to Christopher St or take the train to the 26th Street outpost.

    Awesome Sandwich Deal for $5

I love Baoguette for a quick, hearty, FRESH and cheap lunch! The sandwiches are GOURMET and the portion is nice. You can actually eat the sandwich and feel FULL/SATISFIED...the ingredients are all fresh and flavorful. The baguette bread is always perfect..nice, flakey crust... fresh taste. Highly recommended for take-out. It's such a tiny hole-in-the-wall, that I do not advise anyone to actually eat inside. But other than that, 2 thumbs up on everything else. Perfect for nice, warm summer days...to enjoy at a nearby park. Bon Appetit!

    Great Sandwich!

This was my first experience with Bao, and their signature Baguette was amazingly delicious. I was there at a mid-afternoon off-time, so I only waited a few minutes while the sandwich was made to order. The cashier was very nice and helpful, and the best part was the $5 price tag. The sandwich was rich, and the ingredients seemed very fresh and of good quality. It tasted much more expensive than it was.
