great food, not service
big portions of food. the food is tasty like other african places on 116th...however the service is lame. the lady on the phone seems to be angry all the time. the average time of delivery is 1 hour IF you live within a radius of 1 miles. beyond that I wish you luck

Good Food but poor service.
The food is tasty and reasonably priced- especially the fried fish. However the service is horrible. The staff is often curt. Furthermore, I ordered over the phone tonight and after two hours (yes, 2 hours! ) the delivery man had not yet arrived. After repeated calls to the restaurant I was told "He's on his way".

Amazing food and great value
The food is tasty and you get very good potions. The atmosphere is very cozy, gives you the african chop bar feel. A good place to relax, the host/ess do not kick you out by asking you if you need anything else after 20min like other food places in manhattan. Love this place!

I am American! I love this place and the food is delicious!
I am American, born here in NYC. My husband is an African dandanna from Senegal. I love this place and the food is DELICIOUS, The lunch, the dinner, everything is good and tasty at this restaurant! you gotta eat here! The food is great! I would like to thank my husband for introducing me to this place!

I really enjoy this place!
I love the food at Baobab. I lived in Senegal for a year and every time I get a craving for thiebudjen or yassa, this is the place I come to. The food is authentic and tasty. The portions used to be bigger but it is still a decent size. They have made changes in their lunch menu in that only certain things are served on a particular day, so if you want something specific, call ahead to make sure that they will have it.

Hooray Baobab!
My wife and I just moved to Harlem, and, in short, Baobab has become one of our staple restaurants. The portions are huge, and the food is always tasty. No, it's not the most elegant of food, but once you've had the mustardy onions, you'll be thinking about them during the day. Keep it up!!
