The food is tasty and you get very good potions. The atmosphere is very cozy, gives you the african chop bar feel. A good place to relax, the host/ess do not kick you out by asking you if you need anything else after 20min like other food places in manhattan. Love this place!

I love the food at Baobab. I lived in Senegal for a year and every time I get a craving for thiebudjen or yassa, this is the place I come to. The food is authentic and tasty. The portions used to be bigger but it is still a decent size. They have made changes in their lunch menu in that only certain things are served on a particular day, so if you want something specific, call ahead to make sure that they will have it.

My wife and I just moved to Harlem, and, in short, Baobab has become one of our staple restaurants. The portions are huge, and the food is always tasty. No, it's not the most elegant of food, but once you've had the mustardy onions, you'll be thinking about them during the day. Keep it up!!
