the best vietnamese restaurant in NYC

Bao Noodles is one of the best Vietnamese Restaurant in NYC. it's a great place to have Traditional Vietnamese food in NYC. The food is fantastic and reasonable price. i came by to have dinner with my friends the other night. it was our first time at Bao Noodles. we had lollipop chicken, lemongrass short ribs and Spring rolls for apps, they were awesome. especially the lollipop chicken. it's a bomb. We also had the Iron pot Pork and Shrimp special, chicken curry and Bun Bo Hue, they were good. the special cocktails and saketinis were fantastic too. They have a very friendly service. The servers seem to have good knowledge about food and drinks. they give us good recommendations and very attentive. Nice atmosphere with 1960s music. We must be back soon

Best Cheap Eat in the neighborhood

This is a great place and every single experience I've had there has been a positive one. I've sat by myself in the middle of the afternoon with a book, and service was good, kind, and I didn't feel pressured to leave (there were many other tables free) I've been there on date night with my husband and its been great, the other early evening we were craving their short ribs and took our children, ages 2 and 3. We were a little nervous about walking in with a giant double stroller, so i popped in first to ask if it was okay and they had room. They were so gracious and kind, even bringing the kids their juices in plastic cups with lids. We did leave early before the rush as a courtesy to their busy dinner service, but feel great knowing that on any early bird night with the kids we can go. BTW kids had noodles and loved it!

    Friday night disaster

ordered shrimp ban mi. huge clumps of mayo, 3 pieces of shrimp, bread was soft and falling apart. Ordered Taro Fried. These are not fries. They are hard staled pieces of taro. Its as if they were sitting out for over 24 hours. Worst deliver too as the guy had no ID so I have to trek it downstairs to pick up my food. Worst experience and terrible food. Funny b/c I ordered the same Ban Mi last week and it was fantastic. I'll never order from here again. This is too poor to forgive.

    Bao Down!

I love this place. The lollipop chicken is the best in the city. And, they have the best happy hour specials in the neighborhood.
