    Great Food and Friendly Service

I just went there over the weekend and was thoroughly impressed. They had great presentation. I ordered and eel dish and it was served over HOT stones. I ordered teas for dessert and their presentation was AMAZING! The teas were displayed in an illuminated tea display and everyone of them were just delicious. I went with their Winter Wishes blend and fell in love... They carry Tavalon Teas (the guys that had a tea bar on 14th street with the DJ's). I'll be back to try the BBQ next time.

    Awesome

Such a fun night! and fabulous food. We had the beef and shrimp and whatever they marinated them in were incredible. Tuna tartare app and and desserts were all yummy. Give yourself time here and enjoy a great evening.

    Always the best

Love this restaurant. Elegant in style, fresh in preparation, accommodating in service. The best Korean restaurant in NYC. Much quieter than its counterpart in SOHO. I recommend this place highly. I often bring out of town guests here, since the restaurant itself is so impressive. The barbeque never disappoints.

My favorite restaurant in the city

Really fun place. Relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food. Outstanding service. Have been impressed over and over again by Bann. Expensive but a worthwhile destination.

Awesome, but it's not real Korean!

Basically, if you go to this restaurant, don't be banking on the fact that you will be having an authentic Korean meal. The food is somewhat fusion and a modern take on Korean food. And it is absolutely DELICIOUS! I went with a large group of Korean relatives from Korea, and we all thought it was lip-smacking delectable! Warning: If bringing non-English speaking Korean relatives, this place is not easy! The waitstaff was very sweet and attentive, but none of them actually are Korean or speak the language, so you need to anglosize the pronunciations a bit. The host was Korean and was a tremendous help. I thought the ambience was very interesting. They do have an impressive and extensive sake menu. There wasn't one thing that we ordered that wasn't truly delicious. Oh, and don't really expect side dishes either this is not that restaurant.

    Great Korean Barbecue

Very upscale restaurant in the business district. I go three to four times a week, either with clients, friends, or by myself. I love the atmosphere, and the food is very good quality. Cleaner and more pleasant than the restaurants at 32nd Street. Fresh meat and seafood. The appetizers are all great, as I've tried almost all of them. I recommend the black tiger prawns on the barbecue menu as well as the bul go gi favorites of mine. The seven grain rice is also a favorite of anyone I take. The restaurant is very impressive and beautiful and very clean. Not as smokey as the old Woo Lae Oak of the 80's and 90's, and more private, but not nearly as many authentic Korean dishes. But still a great find in the city, and better than many of the other Korean restaurants around.

    Wonderful experience

I have wanted to try this restaurant for quite some time. As I am not familiar with other Korean BBQ's I can not support nor refute the authenticity. However, the food was wonderful, the experience a lot of fun and the service incredible. I look forward to my next visit. And to the delightful manager, thank you again!
