    great experience

One of my friend recommends this place as a dating spot. I actually heard about this place. But since they are in hell's kitchen(I don't usually go there) I didnt have a chance to go there. Anyway I and my girlfriend decided to go there and Bann is actually a way better than I expected. Atmosphere and service were great. Food is not really authentic Korean though. Also they are located in hell's kitchen where not many people are hanging out. Overall it was worth to try and I will go back to Bann again.

worst bibimbap i have ever had

i am a bit surprised to see this many positive reviews here about this non-authentic korean restaurant. I LOVE korean food and up until I experienced this place I believed that bibimbap can never taste bad....well, I was wrong. We also had a kimchi sushi roll, which was even worse and we could not finish. The staff were friendly and helpful and the atomosphere was great though.

    take out vs. dining in

dining there is great because the service is attentive and well. But when ordering out, they ALWAYS forget to put in one thing or the other. So make sure to check everything before you walk out of there. One time, I had to rush through lunch to prepare for an important meeting so I ordered for take and when I got back to the office, i noticed that they forgot to put Gochoojang sauce in my Bibimbop. So i went back (wasting another 20min.) then I came back to realize that they didnt put any utencils in. And after that incidence, I check my order and always find something missing. lol Otherwise, their food is good. Little bit on the sweeter side but I have sweet tooth so it's good for me. And everthing's bit over-priced but considering that it saves me a trip to 32st K-town, it's not so bad

    Great Food and Friendly Service

I just went there over the weekend and was thoroughly impressed. They had great presentation. I ordered and eel dish and it was served over HOT stones. I ordered teas for dessert and their presentation was AMAZING! The teas were displayed in an illuminated tea display and everyone of them were just delicious. I went with their Winter Wishes blend and fell in love... They carry Tavalon Teas (the guys that had a tea bar on 14th street with the DJ's). I'll be back to try the BBQ next time.

    Awesome

Such a fun night! and fabulous food. We had the beef and shrimp and whatever they marinated them in were incredible. Tuna tartare app and and desserts were all yummy. Give yourself time here and enjoy a great evening.

    Always the best

Love this restaurant. Elegant in style, fresh in preparation, accommodating in service. The best Korean restaurant in NYC. Much quieter than its counterpart in SOHO. I recommend this place highly. I often bring out of town guests here, since the restaurant itself is so impressive. The barbeque never disappoints.

My favorite restaurant in the city

Really fun place. Relaxing atmosphere. Delicious food. Outstanding service. Have been impressed over and over again by Bann. Expensive but a worthwhile destination.
