The best!
I can't believe there are any bad reviews. I love this place. I love the chicken salan curry the most . The service is good too. Blows away any Indian on the block. Worth the extra money. Way better quality period.

Overpriced medicore food
Unless you have a fat wallet and want to spend a lot of money and not get much on your plate -- this is your place ! ! Overall food taste was mediocore; could get better on curry road. Dont order the tomato soup, was canned and terrible.The food portions are really small, so if you are hungry and care about your spend, this is NOT the place for you. Being an Indian myself, i can tell you i do NOT recommend this place to anyone. If you want authentic indian food, you are better off other places on 6th street

Best Indian Food in Manhattan
Banjara is my go-to Indian restaurant, because the food is absolutely delicious, and it's not over-priced like some fancy midtown Indian restaurants. The food hasn't been sitting in a pot drying out all day like buffet style restaurants. The food is fresh, the mango lassis are great (not too sweet, not too tart), and the service is good. Try the pasanda lamb. It's delicious!

very inconsistent
when its good its really good.. It's just been extremely inconsistent lately..One day the sauces will be creamy and the next day it will be watery.. etc etc

disapointed
Used to be really good about 2-yrs ago. Last time i went i was completely disappointed. My cup was slightly stained and it had a piece of food left in it. I asked the waiter 2x for a new tea cup only for him to bring me that exact same cup for the second time with the same stains. Another disappointment was the added 20% tip added to the bill which i almost double because i didn't know the tip was already added to the bill. Their bills are scribbled on a pc of paper so be careful and make sure you understand fully what you are paying for. I will definitely not go to Banjara again and i plan on spending my money else where such as Taj Mahal where the food is alot cheaper.

Poor service
Very disappointed. Poor service, dirty silverware, food was not good Indian. Not giving it another chance.

Not recommended
The Kolize Porri Wali was so unappetizing I threw it out. The Somosas were small, and then I was glad they were small when I tasted them. The Chicken Vindaloo was Ok, but there were mainly potatoes and little chicken.
