    Pretty good

I have walked by this place and it always looks reasonably good - like a local spot tha is perhaps a well kept secret. I was on this site and in the mood for Thai, so I decided to order and see what I thought. The reality is that there are very few good Thai places in East Midtown (which is too bad, since there are probably many people who love Thai in my neighborhood.) This is one of the few and it is serviceable. This place was tasty, but far from as good as GOOD Thai gets. I had the Paradise Beef appetizer, which was fried beef (not coated, just cook in oil) and which was reasonbly spicy, but unremarkable and then the "Red Curry" which was the menu item - "you pick the meat". I had chicken. It was semi spicy, and tasty, but unremarkable. If you love Thai, and have few options, this is the best around East Midtown - but it is not the best Thai in the city.

    At least it wasn't terrible

The food was alright - certainly not the greatest Thai. Perhaps for midtown on the east side, it's an alright choice. The delivery was somewhat timely, although they forgot salad dressing, which means a total waste of salad. Pad Thai was a total waste. Do not order it from here. It's tasteless. The garlic sauce was alright, as was the basil sauce. Somewhat expensive for what it was.

    Absolutely wonderful

Maharaja is deliciously pleasing. The buffet is ideal for those who like typical Indian fare with the option to try new. I have never, in the many times I've visited, tasted a disappointing dish. The atmosphere is warm and comfy and the service is fantastic.

    Good, but not the best

Generally, the food is good, steer clear nonetheless from their Pad Thai, the taste of eggs overshadows all the other authentic flavors that this dish should have. Also, their curries are fine, but not very impressive. Head over to Pooket on second avenue and 51st, its much better

    Fresh home-made like Thai food.

The food has a fresh and homy feel. Authentic Thai cuisine at a great price!
