Excellent food, great value, slow deliv
Food is very simple and home-like for someone from India. I particularly liked the okra masala. And at those prices it is outstanding value. I liked the fact that they agreed to the delivery although my order was less than $ 15. However, the delivery took ~ 45 mins.

Good Indian Delivered
We just had our first Bangal Curry experience. It was nice. Probably it is better when you are in person in restaurant. Not the best we've ever had, but certainly good and would eat/get delivery again. 2 Naan, Beef Saag, Mixed Veggie Curry, plus a TON of rice and free delivery = $14. I think that's a good deal.

I want it all...
I could lose it all one day. the market could tank and the money, fast cars, diamond rings, gold chains and champagne, every damn thing... could all be gone but i sleep easy at night knowing that as long as i have 5 bucks in my pocket i will be able to get a decent meal in nyc. the place is clean, the service is quick and friendly. i tend to think that the more popular items (chicken curry, chicken marsala) are fresher and of much higher quality, probably due to quicker turnover and higher volume than more obscure items like the lamb.

One can only hope
.. that New York magazine or Time Out doesn't ever write this place up. Quite simply, its the best curry in New York and I don't want a line going out the door at lunch time.

Best Indian food I've had in NY. Food was good with variety at a very reasonable price. Service was good with nice people. Definitely would go back and recommend.

Cheap and so so food
This is another fast food cafeteria style curry place. I happen to love places like this because you can see the food and there is no tipping required and of course, it's fast. I got the chicken bhuna on rice and it was spicy but so so, it almost tasted like stew instead of curry. The portions were okay but not as much as other Indian fast food places. The chicken looked like slow cooked chicken stew all soft and crumbly and they gave me very small portions of vegetables. The guy behind the counter was friendly though and all in all, I would go back if I were in the area instead of Paki Teahouse but I think this place is somewhat over rated. Pretty good deal but not the best. By the way, my friend ordered the vindaloo and again, like stew, hardly any sauce but big pieces of meat and some little veggie things over rice. Go there if you live or work in the area but the best Makhani with white chicken meat is at Minar. Their service is not great but they give you larger portions and nicer than the crones at Paki teahouse.

Awesome
I always order out & get their chicken tikka masala & samosas, and they're always great. Very cheap too & generous portions. However, just to correct a review down there: they're NOT 24 hours! I don't know what the hours are, but I went there late at night and they were closed. Just trying to save you a trip! Anyway, I highly recommend this restaurant, yum.
