    Solid Neighborhood Spot

This restaurant offers a cool, updated loungey bar feel with a well stocked menu. The food is good, not amazing, but what else can you expect from a standard american menu. I typically order lunch from them. Service is reliable, there delivery men dont look like the just emerged from washing dishes, with a dirty white apron, and the food is reasonably priced and edible to eat post-delivery. Altogether one of the few spots in the neighborhood which isnt fast food that you can get a fairly healthy lunch from...

    Where Dreams Are Made!

I came here with a girlfriend of mine last valentines day more as a show of faith to a girl I had been spending some time with than as a romantic evening with the one I love. I dont know what it was, but that meal changed everything. Cut to the next scene, it is exactly one year later, and I am taking her here again. This time as a lover. Tonight, the most romantic night of the year, I am planning on proposing to the woman of my dreams at the exact spot where we fell in love over Chicken Satay's. So tonight if you see a grown man crying tears of joy- come over and wish me congratulations!

    Unexpectedly Great Burger!

I went with my girlfriend late-night and was not only surprised by how extensive banc's late-night food menu was, but even more shocked at how great everything tasted. i have tasted many a new york burger...including burger joint (parker-meridien), rare, corner bistro, jg mellon, pj clarkes et al. and I am telling you that I would put banc's up against any of them. I had to go back to see if it was a fluke, and my next burger there was as good, if not better, than the first. The booths are ultra-comfortable and you do not feel like I am sitting on top of the people next to you. All of the salads are great, too.

    Loved it

Went here this weekend after not being able to find any place that served food after 11pm. They did and it was great. Loved the music, great place. Would go back again.

    Highly Recommend!

Banc is a great bar/cafe in Murray Hill. I suggest the Thai Beef salad, Crab Meat Napolean salad, and the Proscuitto di Parma and Fried Brie appetizer. Bar staff is great, and wait staff is average for Manhattan; it's how you strike it. Fun atmosphere and great wine/beer selection!

T each their own on the others comments, but my experience was an absolute nightmare. Our food came out and was plated nicely, however it had no flavor. I had the eggplant parmesan and it was topped with a very unflattering pesto and stuffed with portobello mushrooms wish made it entirely too dry and very unpleasant. All in all, I believe Banc is overpriced and pretentious, and their menu doesn't back any of it up.
