    Great food

My friends and I ordered from here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. There isnt great indian food in chelsea too so a treat if you're craving something from the subcontinent...tip: if you like your food spicy, let em know...

    solid

Solid Sri Lankan restaurant. The food tasted quite similar to what I ate on a trip to SL a few years ago except for a few missing ingredients that aren't available in the US. Hoppers are good and the rice dishes well made. Looking forward to return visits.

Much improved and worth a visit!

We saw the first review and were startled with the disappointing experience. We ate here last week, the place has been open for 5 months so perhaps the've improved. But the food was great! A friend ordered lamb biriyani, very flavorful and filling. One of us ordered the lampri, definitely a unique dish unlike anything you'd get. There aren't many Sri Lankan places in town, this one is worth checking out!

    Total disappointment

Read the review in Village Voice and went last night .The food was well below average , the hoppers were cold, the fish overcooked and inedible, the shrimp barely ok.How can I talk about service when it was non existent. The place was near empty and the waiter woulnt come to the table ,sat looking at TV.Evary time we needed something I had to go and walk to the waier. And they ran out of milk after they served the coffee. the piece de resistance, there was a cockroach running on the wall .One of the staff killed the insect and apologized."It came from the street"
