Ordered chicken franchaise, and one of the "breasts" was veal! I was dispappointed by this as I expected chicken. I've only ordered out from here but will not be going there again. The food is really not that good. My grandma's bolognese sauce is way way better. The only thing I can give them is the mobster vibe factor.

I live down the street and have been a couple times a year over the last four years. This place is a hold over from the 1940's and its great! You'll feel like you've walked right into a gangster movie when you get in the door. The bar is full of locals that feel like they just walked off a movie set too. The food is classic old school italian. It's the pasta and meat dishes you can get at any corner joint in Brooklyn or the city. I've never walked away and felt like it was anywhere near the best italian meal of my life and the prices are way too high. But we keep coming back for the experience. There's nothing like this place.

I have been going to Bamonte's for about 40 years. I was dragged by friend as a teenager and have continued going ever since. It is excellent old school Iitalian, warm and friendly. But the best thing I can say about it, is that you NEVER walk out and say "It wasn't that good tonight"

My girlfriend and I drive out every Saturday night from Jersey. The veal parm, ziti, espresso, and all of the desserts are fantastic. It's best to get a few drinks at the bar before being seated. For those of you who didn't grow up in this area, the bar is a great place to listen to the locals. Everyone makes you feel like you're right at home. This place keeps my sanity since I moved out to the boring suburbs from Bensonhurst.

This is our "birthday" restaurant. It's worth the trek from LI to Brooklyn.

I've been coming to Bamonte's for years and nothing has changed. What a great restaurant! You must try the Eggplant Rollatini, one of the best I've had. The Chicken Marsala is one of my faves. We keep coming back for more!
