    Authentic Italian cuisine

I’ve been a faithful patron for over forty years and to this day the food is still prepared the original style with emphasis on quality , quantity , value and impeccable service by a staff that has more than 150 years of experience combined. What’s remarkable about the menu is that if you don’t see it listed tell the waiter and they will prepare it for you. Everything is cooked to order and is extremely fresh. The owner and his daughters go to the markets every morning and purchase only the finest quality of goods.

One of the best restaurants in NYC

True to cuisine. True to culture. True to customer service. Any Italian New Yorker would agree that Bamonte's captures the feeling of eating with your family from the food, to the warm and friendly staff. This is the real deal. Authentic, inviting, delicious, and a real Gem. Do yourself a favor and try their Linguini with Marinara Sauce. Simple, but when done properly, makes a beautiful dish. Just as Italian food should be!

    Not recommended

I went for my first time with a friend who has gone there for years. Our dinners were disappointing! The dinners had no flavor at all and my pasta dish was mushy and overcooked and their maranara sauce was simply canned crushed tomatoes. Grated cheese, crushed red peppers and black pepper could not save poor cooking. Having read good reviews of Bamante's, I am shocked. There was absolutely nothing good about this dinner.

    The epitome of perfection.

This place is a little better than the best dream you ever had. I've been here twice in my life, and on the second time i asked myself why i wasn't known as a regular. If there was a food fight that occurred between actual food in toe-to-toe combat instead of people throwing food at one another.. Bamonte's would always win. Best place in the world. I will go back forever.

    Yum

Seafood Fra Diavolo and Rigatoni with Vodka Sauce were RIDICULOUSLY delicious. You get a very generous portion for both of these dishes. The Seafood is literally tumbling over the sides and the Vodka sauce is perfect in every way. The Eggplant Rolatini was equally delish. Very highly recommended for homestyle italian in the Williamsburg neighborhood.

    Old time memories

This place is outdated. Typical italian menu most of us can have in our own homes. Nothing special. Needs some TLC. The waiters tend only to repeat customer. DOes not live up to the hype.

went here 3x in one week..

I live in the area and new about this place for a few years but never stopped in..then I did and went twice in the same week. As a kid who grew up in Brooklyn in an Italian family, I've eaten my fair share of Italian food..and this stuff is the real deal The bolognese sauce is so delicious and the pasta is perfectly al dente, which is so important. They split the dishes into perfect portions and didn't charge extra for that. The chicken marsala, francese and parmigiana are all perfect. For appetizers I've so far had the clams casino (delicious and bacony), the clams oreganata which were very good with lemon, the fried zucchini which are really light and good, and the cold antipasto salad which has tons of anchovies and fresh tomatoes and nice cheeses it was very refreshing. we came in the 2nd time very close to them closing and we ordered spaghetti and meatballs although the pasta wasn't as good as it could have been it was because the kitchen was just about to close. The service is VERY good here and even when we were almost the last table eating they still offered us dessert/coffee. This is perfect home style Italian and I want to eat here every night. I think I am going again tomorrow to try the tripe.
