Great and consistent
This is my new favorite Indian joint. I was surprised at how amazing this food was! We had the basics - vegetable samosa, chicken tikka masala, chicken vindaloo etc... all were delicious. The tikka masala is so creamy and flavorful - it makes all other indian restaurants food seem bland. The chicken was so tender - not dry at all. The breads were so fresh - hot with a slight crispness and soft on the inside. Service is good too, along with a nice relaxing atmosphere. The only downfall i would say is the semi small portion, but I am always filled up when I leave! I can't wait to go back!

Perfect for delivery
I use Baluchi's all the time for Indian delivery. It arrives quickly, the food's consistently good & creamy, and never dry or cold. Recommended.

Overpriced, watery, tasteless
Is the food actively bad? No-- but better food can definitely be found for the price. I recently had food delivered from Baluchi's, and found the entrees watered down and bland. The quality of the food was comparable to places costing half as much, the portions were tiny, and it took over and hour and a half to arrive. I will never again order from Balcuhi's. For Indian food that actually has some taste, look elsewhere...

Great food/bad service
Food here is always amazing. I don't know about the other servers, but the 1 was rude and unfriendly. I went once with a small group and when she was putting plates on the table she literally held up the plate and you had to take it from her. She rushed you when you are ordering. Dont know if she is overworked but takes it out on customers.

Good for lunch
Of course this isn't authentic indian food, but it's half off during lunch. if you can handle spice, i would suggest trying the lamb vindaloo. simple, efficient, and with some nan, leaves you full. i am there relatively often, at least twice a month and was never disappointed. it's not the best, but it's consistently decent and reasonably priced.

Amazingly Value for Amazing Food
Definitely check this place out! You'll be glad you did and be back shortly thereafter. I've tried many, many items on their menu to the point where I'm not afraid to try something new because I know it will be quality. The waitstaff at this location are very friendly and efficient. Bottom line: the food and value are incredible. 50% off everything at lunch and 20% off with your NYU ID. Even without the discounts the food is definitely worth the already reasonable prices.

Not that Bad..
Baluchi's isn't that bad.. Anyone looking for an "authentic" Indian experience go to Jackson Heights. The food is consistent and toned down for the Western palate. By the way, Baluchi's is an Indian name. Pull out a map and look up Baluchistan, a province of India.
