Food quaility and service are slipping
I live in the neighboorhood and used to eat here weekly. However, the food quality and service is slipping. I do not like my food spicy. When I have asked not to have spice put in the food, it come out so spicy, it cannot be eaten even with dumping plenty of yogurt with it. Will have to go back to Curry Hill and see if there is anything better out there.

Microwaved Naan?
Their naan always tastes rubbery, like it was reheated in the microwave. The Lamb Boti Kebab that was included in the Prix Fixe came two pieces and one was so chewy it was unedible, had to spit it out. Chicken in chicken tikka masala is a little dry. Though Prix Fixe is a good price, will avoid ordering from here.

Great food and service! and its BYOB!
Very good food and service. The place is never crowded...not sure why this is, but i dont mind. I think the food is comparable (quality and price) to other Indian places in the area (there are a lot one avenue block over on Lexington in "Curry Hill"). And at the moment its BYOB which is the biggest selling point for me! Hurry and check it out before they get a liquor license!

Disappointing
I should of know that an empty restaurant on Saturday at 7:30 means not to go in but the family was hungry for Indian food. Everything was very mediocre - The nan breads were oily and heavy. The curry tasted of rotten vegetables. I really do not recommend this restaurant. We left wanting to forget the experience.

takeout
expected better based on price & reviews... got chix tikki marsala.. VERY WATERY, not greasy though which was a good thing.. Spices aren't that great. I have had better.. I have to say Curry in a Hurry is better than this! And I hate to say that! Also got Garlic Naan bread, which is good, but average, I wish I would have ordered from a cheaper Indian place

why hadn't i come back sooner?
I used to go here often, but took a try with a million other Indian food restaurants in the area, forgetting about this joint. I don't know why- this place is great! Just got delivery from here in under 20 minutes, delicious and the staff was super professional and polite- how nice!

Great food and convenient location
This was my first time @ Baluchi's the food was excellent and the service was up to par. The location was convenient in walking distance from major transportation. My only disappointment was the bathroom. It was outdated, and I seen better bathroom in fast-food joints, but overall, I will go back to Baluchi's and save the bathroom for last
