    reliable choice, good service

That's an old favorite. Their on-site staff is quite pleasant, but now that my office is further south, I started using delivery. I must say I am impressed with the online ordering system: fast, accurate and unproblematic. The portions tend to be on the smallish side, but the flavors are great, the food is always fresh, and the variety is appealing.

    Excellent indian on UES

We ordered take-out from Baluchi's and the delivery was quick (15-20 mins) and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

    Good Consitent Indian Food

Being Indian & living on the Upper East Side sometimes we would love to eat some unpretentious indian food, ie: similar to home cooked without cooking ourselves & Baluchis really does that. Delivery though a bit slow is still great especially the prix fix menu for $14.95 (appetizer & entree). I would recommend it to anyone as it is great food & good value.

    Excellent Service and Great Food

We were greeted at Baluchi's with smiles that continued throughout the evening accompanied by attentive service and great food. The service staff appeared to be the owners, which may explain the dedication to making our meal memorable. This restaurant will definitely be on our list for a return visit. If your looking for atmosphere skip this one...we sat at the window and people watched which was enjoyable enough.

    Get delivery...

As i've read some of these reviews it seems to be as though many people have painful delivery experiences. I on the other hand would very much recommend delivery. The only downside to the delivery from Baluchi's is the time it takes to get to you but is well worth it when consider the fact that for some reason, rice comes free with main entrees on deliveries and not at the restaurant itself. I had to find this out the hard way when i went there for lunch and my food came without any rice. Not to mention the terrible service in the tiny hole in wall. However the food is delicious and i would highly recommend the crab curry or the chicken tikka masala. Seamlessweb is probably the easiest form of ordering from Baluchi's and they also offer 20[%] off of orders through the site. Don't get tricked into eating at the restaurant, order in.

    AMAZING

My boyfriend and I have lived in the upper east side for almost a year now and have been reluctant to try Baluchi's because when ever we walk by, there almost always seems to be one couple maximum in the restaurant. Last week we had the hankering for some Indian food, and after reading the reviews on menupages in our neighborhood we decided to give Baluchi's a try. I am so glad we did. The food is some of the best Indian I've had and the delivery is completely reliable. The food is so good in fact, that we have decided to make it a weekly staple!

    Great Indian Food

My husband and I eat Indian food every so often and the food here is great. I agree the atmosphere in the restaurants lacks but delivery is not that bad. They told us 45 min and it came on time. Everything is always fresh so it is worth the wait. If you look at the menu, you will notice a prefix dinner for $13.95. It comes with bread, rice, an appetizer and main dish. ( I think it is only for delivery) No one gives you this much food for that price around here.
