One of the Better Baluchis
I have eaten at various different locations of Baluchis - and this is by far the best in terms of food quality. It is definitely one of the better restaurants in the WTC neighborhood. 50% off for lunch just makes it a super value.

Pre cooked food
The chicken, lamb or shrimp are pre-cooked added to a pre-cooked sauce and served in a nice metal pot. The flavor of the ingredients and spices of the Indian cuisine hide the pre cooked food. One can get a pre cooked chicken curry in a pre cicooked sauce at Wholefoods self service just across the street for half of the price.

90 Minutes for takeout
The foods fine if your willing to put up with the delivery service.

some dishes are good
This is our favorite Indian in the neighborhood (and we have tried several). Not everything is good (not the chicken tikka masala for instance) but the lamb biriyani and lamb rogan josh are great. We only order for take out and the service has been OK for us. Takes a little while but it is not unreasonable (and we live quite a few blocks away). Give it a try and see if they do your favorite dishes OK.

Wont advise takeout
I had extremely poor experience with take out from Baluchi. The server messed up the order completely, dishes were missing. The staff was not able to rectify the mistakes seamlessly. It doesnt seem like a well run operation. I would recommend lunch - its a good deal. Food is good when you sit in.

Awesome Food
I've eaten at Baluchi's numerous times and it's always been top notch food and service. Waiters are courteous, food is always prepared at spice level I say and portions are a tad small but as the food is very heavy and filling, a smaller portion is almost better for that reason. Management is definitly well trained and understand what experience you are seeking for lunch/dinner and do their best to accomplish that. Decor is beautiful and much better than most indian restaurants in the city.

restaurant? i think not
I'm Indian and so is my finance. He liked the butter chicken, but I think its good if you eat it only once and never again. The chicken biryani is not good. What kind of indian restuarant doesnt know how to make chicken biryani?
