Will never order from here again

The Anelletti Alla Palermitana tasted good but was cold by the time I got it. The dessert wasn't that good. The delivery guy didn't have change. Food leaked all over the place, no napkins. Horrible experience

    pear mostarda!

Have been several times but it continues to get better! I suggest skipping the sandwiches/salads and getting the piatto della casa(chef's choice) platter. You can always guide them in the right direction if you prefer milder cheeses or saltier meats and you're guaranteed to get something new and off the menu thrown in the mix. Also ask about the pear mostarda(not pear mustard) which is basically preserved pears with a hint of garlic(!). I could eat this for days!

    Beautiful simplicity

onto this cozy gem. It serves a variety of cheeses and smoked meats imported from Italy and serves Italian-style coffee. I settled for the bresaola foccacia, but I had them hold the cheese. A very simple meal that tasted amazing! It came warm, with just the right amount of lettuce and olive oil. Rich salt sprinkled on top. I'm not even a huge focaccia fan, but this sandwich guarantees I'll be back. The establishment also sells Italian products. Very good for a date. And today's waitress, an Italian woman in her 20s, was helpful and quite attentive (and very attractive as well). A welcome addition to the East Village. I am definitely going again.
