Great Place
The food was great. Make sure you ask for a dessert menu.

Delicious Food
This restaurant was great. I loved the Decor, atmosphere, and more impotantly, the food. Nasi Goreng was my favorite, with Lumpia as appetizers! Prices weren't bad either especially for college students like me. Don't forget to ask for a dessert menu, my favorite was the icecream with cake.

A terrific find
Truthfully, I found this place through Menupages, and I could'nt be happier. It was the first time my husband and I had ever tried Indonesian food--but what a perfect introduction.! In addition to a full menu, the restaurant offers two special plates: one with meat entrees, the other vegetarian. For under $20, you get a salad with peanut dressing, five or so small portions of different entree items, plus rice, dessert and a glass of wine or a bottle of beer! How can you beat that? Plus the food is excellent, (a bit like Thai food), service very nice and atmosphere pretty cute. I'll be back.

One of those amazing NYC places
Bali Nusa Indah, simply put, is some of the best, most unique food I have had in New York City. I went for the second time last night and ordered the Vegetarian Special. This is a sampler plate with five or six entrees, plus a drink, PLUS desert for under $20!! Perhaps this is not the nicest looking restaurant on the block, but far and away, amongst the best tasting. The servers are all incredibly nice, helpful, and prompt.

Wow.. my friend and I were blown away
The food is just amazing. Try pempek palembang, some sorta' fishcake with vinegarish sauce, for the appetizers. Try Soto madura for the soup (chicken soup with slightly tangy, perfected with onions and veggies)--it's perfect, not too oily. For the entree, try the specialties.. I had a chance to eat nasi rames, a full dish of a little bit everythin': from rendang (curried shredded beef) to ayam opor (chicken with cocount milk sauce), to chicken satay, to green bean with lodeh sauce, and shrimp cracker.. JUST PERFECT. For the desserts, try es teller: a typical Indonesian iced drink with Indonesian fruits.. Excellent!

Great food wonderful service!
After a visit to Java and Bali and came back home and discovered Bali Nusa Indah and felt I had been transported right back to Indonisia. Great service, reasonably priced good tasting dishes. If you've never had Indonesian food, start off with Nasi Goreng and an order of Sate Ayam. And remember to say Terima kasih to the staff afterwards and you'll be sure to get a smile and a good memory.

Poor service, food ok
Went there for lunch. The service was non-existent. Quite rude actually. Don't bother calling for delivery. They hang up on you at the drop of a pin. Really one of the poorer restaurants I have come across in terms of service. But to be fair, the food is ok.
