Indonesian Food in NY
My wife and I were looking for Indonesian food, we googled this restaurant in Hell's Kitchen. The restaurant has an A rating for cleanliness, great food at affordable prices ( we had two entree dishes and two glasses of wine for less then $50.00) and very friendly staff. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone in Manhattan's westside.

Great friendly service with delicious food!
Loved this place. Brought back great memories of Indonesia. I have been there twice and want to go again!

This place does not suck!
I've tried just about every restaurant on 9th in HK and finally gave this place a try. Granted the atmosphere isn't the best but the food more than made up for it. We basically told the waiter that the two of us wanted 4 apps and 2 entrees and let them recommend for us- food was legit. Fisherman soup, stuffed squid, barbecue chicken, spicy shrimp- all rocked! Can't wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Good after theater choice
There aren't a whole lot of Indonesian restaurants in NY and we were craving that spicy peanut sauce, so we headed over after seeing a show. The place was clean and inviting. Service was good. I'm not going to tell you it was the best Indonesian food I've eaten, but it was pretty damn good, with an extensive menu, and lots of choices for those who might go veg or just eat fish or whatever.

Still happy with Bali Nusa
We've been here quite a few times and have enjoyed every meal, but after reading recent reviews we approached the restaurant with trepidation. What we found was the same friendly service, moderate prices, and comfortable (but not fashionable) decor. I especially appreciated the vegetarian special, which enabled me to enjoy a variety of dishes, and that we could specify how spicy or mild we wanted each dish to be. Bali Nusa remains on our list of theater district favorites.

What a disappointment...
If the staff cannot be enthusiastic about customer service it does not bode well for the dining experience. The lackluster enthusiasm is directly related to lackluster food. This use to be my "go to" Indonesian restaurant. Highly unlikely to return - the quest continues.
