    Tasty little munchkins

I definitely think these are good bagels. I have never had a bad one yet. No idea what the first two reviewers are talking about - really bad luck, perhaps? However, the service and atmosphere could use some help, no doubt.

    Yummy

i dont know why the other 2 reviews are so low. i dont know what they are talking about! i've been going there on average once a week for a long time now- EVERY time i go the bagel is fresh and warm, the lox spread is fresh and delicious, and the service is friendly.

    Average overall

I have wandered into this bagel store two or three times. I would say that the food is average, not great, and the place does not have a good atmosphere. These factors mean that I will not be visiting the Bagels by the Park again.

You should get better in Brooklyn!

This place has all the promise, with a large selection, friendly service and convenient location, unfortunately BBP's bagels just don't make the cut. I know that every once in a while even the top bagel shop could serve a mediocre bagel, but this place is consisitent. They just don't have the recipe right. These bagels are always dry and dense. A good NYC bagel has to have a chewy, stretchy center and a hearty, almost crispy crust. I think the decor could use a little work too, the place kind of has that fast food feel, but it's supposed to be a one-of-a-kind neighborhood joint.
