Best bagels
I am a born and raised manhattan jew so bagels are like a religion to me. I was worried when I moved to the 60s I wouldn't find a great bagel place. I read the reviews and decided to try and I am so happy I did. Best bagel place I have tried so far. I love having people over just so I can introduce them to this bagel place. They are so nice and the food is fantastic! Highly recommend. Great tuna salad, great cream cheeses, great bagels, great hot dog things.

best bagels in NYC
It's getting harder and harder to find real boiled and baked bagels in NYC. Not only are they delicious, but the variety of bagels, cream cheeses and muffins they have (all made in the store) are tremendous. I've been going here for years and no place else even comes close.

Best bagels & spreads
One of the best bagels in the city. The chicken and tuna salads are amazing. The muffins aren't very good, but you'd be crazy to get anything besides a bagel anyway.

Best Bagel in the City
Lucky me for living just a couple blocks from the most amazing bagel in NYC! It's shockingly difficult to find a place that actually makes the bagels it serves on site, but here you can watch them make the bagels from scratch. Expect a line on Saturday and Sunday mornings, but it moves quickly and the staff and fast and friendly. They have the most delicious strawberry cream cheese along with about a dozen different cream cheese flavors, stellar scones and muffins. And it's not a chain!

Need a Bagel Fix
My husband would have hospital appointments across the street so our highlight was coming in for a bagel. I can still taste them and missing that experience. I tell everyone about this place and can't wait until I have another bagel and sour dough roll, dark. We would order a dozen to go for home. The workers are great and try to get you in and out. Please open a Bagel Works at the Jersey Shore!!!

Best Bagel Shop Ever.
This place is great! A great way to spend a leisurely Saturday morning is to stop in late morning and get some bagels with cream cheese or muffins. Then head about half a block uptown and sit the little park there. There's nowhere to sit inside, but you really don't need to. Their bagels are stupendous and I get their strawberry cream cheese by the half pound. I love their pumpkin muffins in the fall too... that not-too-sweet cinnamon taste is the perfect thing for a cool morning. Finally, Bagel Works has a great staff. They recognize their regulars and remember your orders. I honestly can't talk about this place highly enough.
