    Rude?

Guys working there aren't rude at all. Why do I see so many diners reviewing various places on menupages.com complaining about rudeness at run-of-the-mill cheap but serviceable neighborhood restaurants? People don't know what rude means. Try visiting various country's restaurants where the idea of service with a smile doesn't exist? Stop being hicks, people. Folks at this bagel place give you what you ask for, it usually tastes pretty good, and they're on their feet for many consecutive hours. They do a fine job considering the long hours the employees work.

    good/cheap bagels

the bagels are definitely better than anywhere else in this area... even the egg sandwiches are good and the price is great if you want a cheap breakfast stop... the people are not friendly at all... sometimes if im extra nice a get a hint of a positive vibe... if you can look past that then you will like this place

    Really?

The prices are great, the bagels are below average, and the service is rude. It's not worth it.

    i'll miss this place

i'm moving out of the neighborhood in a few weeks and i'm really going to miss this place. everything i've had has been perfect and i'm not necessarily that easy to please. some days you get coffee cubes instead of ice cubes in your ice coffee which is definitely a very special treat.

    Best Bagels in the City

Seriously the best bagels in the city. The atmosphere is not much to speak of, but the bagels are to die for. Much better than H&H or Zabar's (the touristy places on Bway)... And its CHEAP!

    Best on the UW!

These are great bagels! I get my lox and cream cheese bagel sandwich here on the week-ends and always devour the entire sandwich. The guys are so friendly - they make you feel like it's YOUR neighborhood stop. Way better service and bagels than the outrageously expensive and over-rated other bagel shops in the area.

    Best Bagels I've ever had

We had breakfast here every morning while here on holidays. The bagels are warm and fresh with a great selection. Lots of different cream cheeses available too. Great coffee and lots of juices and soft drinks to choose from. Also, the guys working there are so funny. Good dancers too!
