Frequently unhappy
I get bagels for the office every Tuesday. Since the newest management change and the old friendly guy leaving, service has declined A LOT. Now only one guy gets my written bagel order correct. The woman cashier on the right side is rude and unpleasant. The Asian cashier is much nicer and very accommodating. I have no problem returning to the store and making a stink if my order is incomplete or wrong. I don't think they like me very much there, but I could care less who likes me....the important thing is customers have to like them or risk going out of business. They do have the very best bagels I've ever had though. Very highly priced.

They never ever get my order right!
The food here is really good, but no matter how many times I've been there, they can neverrrrrr get my order right. I always end up with something in my sandwich I didn't ask for, or something missing from it. And, they're way overpriced. Somehow I got a sandwich, fruit and a water for $15 once. And the cashier always tries to explain it's 'tax' to me. Really a shame, cause the service and establishment is not worth it even though the food is quality.

Never again!
Okay so this honey ham sandwiche tastes good but not $9 good. They charged me extra for tomato and cheese. I asked for their new specialty avocado sauce and was advises it's $1 which is fine and at least I was told. But seriously $9 for a cold sandwich of average flavor is NOT okay. Of I wanted to pay that much I'd go gourmet and sit down. Never again going there.

They must think they're gourmet
I just paid $8.00 for the smallest yogurt parfait I've ever seen with a croissant that was smashed into a foil square. They charged me an extra .75 to toast my croissant. They'd asked if I wanted butter, wonder how much that would cost. They are outrageous. $4.00 for a very small yogurt. I'm in Penn Plaza and can go downstairs and get double the size for the same price. I paid $9.00 for a turkey burger. No fries, no nothing. Ridiculous prices. $6.00 for a bagel sandwich in the morning, no coffee, nothing. they aren't any better than the cart on the corner so I don't get it.

Good bagels, poor service
I have been going to Bagel Maven almost every morning for the last year and one thing has always been consistent poor service. They are not pleasant and often seem like they are in la la land and often can not remember a simple order.

A good thing gone bad
I've been going in here now and then for my bagel fix as it's been the freshest, crispy out, chewy in, bagels near Penn Plaza for 3 years. That's over thanks to new management jacking up the prices constantly. I used to get a bagel, cream cheese and lox (lovely!) for $5.95 (a nickel change on $6). Then they added tax seperately to $6.50. Okay, I could deal. Now, the same thing today was $7.80 total! What the heck does the manager think he's located at the Plaza Hotel lobby?! I see others are not happy and I suggest others stay away and teach this putz that he has squeezed the golden goose too hard and killed it.
