I'm VERY hard to please
I'm a health freak, and the pickiest eater on the planet when it comes to food service industry making my order correctly! that being said I live down the street and went there for thefirst time today. They have over a dozen varieties of cream cheese including strawberry, tofu, low fat options, there's literally something for everyone. On top of their great topping, sides, and salad selection they had.... Wait for it... Whole Wheat Everything Bagels that were big and delicious and so so soft and tasty! Okay I'm getting carried away here but clearly I have a new love affair with Bagel Express.

Messed up my order!
Asked for an everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese only get home a see a poppy seed bagel with regular cream cheese. Really? GYST! There are plenty of other bagel places in the area.

Good service, takes order fast, nice on the phone
I was reading all the reviews .... I have been ordering from here for the past 4 years.always been nice to me on the phone. 99% times got my orders right.I mean it's so busy all the time and still they take orders quickly and do a very good job. I love the bagel here.

Great bagels, poor service
This could be the best bagel shop on the UES if they could just be a bit pleasant and if they could just get the order right! I live across the street and come here at least once a week and 9 times out of 10 my order is incorrect. The bagels are excellent, they make great egg sandwiches and breakfast platters and great lunch sandwiches, but you always have to check your order before you leave, and you get attitude when you tell them it's wrong. I think they just try to go too fast and don't pay attention.

Great bagels, great service!
Have ordered delivery from Bagel Express for years. Service is always friendly and good. Sometimes hard to get through on phone during peak hours, but that is life in the big city. Bagels are excellent!

Most amazing bagels
Bagel Express has THE best bagels ever - they're consistently amazing. Those of you giving them poor reviews for the "atmosphere" clearly don't know what NYC bagel places are all about. Who cares what the atmosphere at the local bagel place is like - much more important how the bagels taste and I have not found better bagels in NYC

good proximity/bad service/ugly environment
My sentiments are the exact same as those complaining about poor service. Close proximity and adequate food are the best qualities. The service is extremely poor when requesting delivery. While in the store, the service is also to be desired. The new subway construction does not help the environment but they're still surviving. I stopped ordering for the past year but decided to give Bagel Express another try, but no change. Wrong orders and poor delivery service. The worker told me that he'd give me a credit and to call the following day but to no avail. I was hung up on four times until I threatened to come in.
