Bagel Express III
Posted by Meagan on 01/26/2012
This place is the cure for any hangover/overly active weekend that we have going on. My sister and I live at this place; it's down the block and we make sure we are there every chance we get. We both wake up in the morning and look at each other and say, "Bagel Express." the line can sometimes be long, but we are now so frequent, they know our order. Kind of sad, but Whole Wheat everything and low fat cream cheese? It's a guiltless pleasure you just don't get for the saturday morning awful feeling. LOVE THIS PLACE!

As a poor, struggling college student who lives two blocks away, Bagel Express is truly a dream. Nowhere else are you able to get delicious food at such a bargain. I love their bagels, muffins, sandwiches, everything. There hasn't been a single thing from their menu that I haven't enjoyed. With that said, this joint is in serious need of a revamp in their service department. I mean, come on! How many times do you forget half of my order, or my soda, or anything that I requested arbitrarily. They also have a difficult time hearing you on the phone, so speak up and be confident. I usually try to avoid ordering during their busiest times, because that's when they're prone to mess up the most. It's actually quite sad, because although I love Bagel Express and I've become friendly with their staff, I almost always expect them to forget something whenever they deliver. Nevertheless, this is supposed to be a positive review, so allow me to elaborate. At times, they will ask you to order on Debit/Credit because some like to order from them and abandon ship by the time they arrive (no clue who you are, but if I find out, I will hunt you down.) They're really friendly and have a nice varied selection of their offerings to provide to those with a plethora of tastes. I suggest instead of ordering, you go and visit yourself, especially when it's warmer out because their windows are open. It's a quaint deli shop, but that's just part of its charm. Their burgers are juicy and big, and beat any fast food chain any day of the week. All in all, I love Bagel Express, and I will continue to ask them to deliver because I'm lazy. I just wanted to let you guys know what you're up for. Great Prices, Great Food, Great Selection, Disastrous Service. Good Luck, and Good Night.

I asked for cheese on the turkey burger. Midway through making my burger they varified with me if i wanted cheese. I went to the cashier to pay and she asked me what i had, i replied with turkey delux with cheese. She repeated to the cooks the order. I recieved my order and continued to my destination. Sat down, opened the container and there was no cheese.

I will no longer get fed up trying to use this bagel store on the same block I live. Poorest service than any place in Gramercy or Murray Hill. The good cream cheese and so so bagels do not make up for poor, unorganized service. Even after asking did they put sugar in black coffee. They lied or they do not know what sugar is. Please save yourself a HUGE headache, and visit other places Serivce can ruin your meal, and we have said more than 3 times we would not go back, and today marks the last time I tryo to stay "local".

This place is somewhat cheap for the food you're getting, which is the only reason I still go. The service is absolutely horrible. If you walk in you have to babysit the guys behind the counter to make sure they get your order correct. If you order delivery... Forget about it, there is no chance they will get your order right. Their everything bagels are also pretty pathetic.

i've started going to Bagel Express on Third/25th, one block from where I live, because everything is fresh, it's cheap and the people working there know you are in a rush (they are on top of their game). it can get manic at lunch time with all the college kids descending on the place, but otherwise i'm happy to sit and eat there. especially nice when the weather's fine and the windows are open.

Amazing breakfast specials. Awesome bagels. And unbelievable prices. I go there twice a day, and prob only spend 10 dollars on 2 meals.
