Bagel Express II
Posted by Kyle on 03/29/2014
I live in the area and my girlfriend and I eat breakfast at one of the bagel shops in the area every Saturday and Sunday. We've tried Bagel Express II many times, hoping that at some point it would get better. Bagel Express II has the worst service in the area, hands down. The man that works at the counter is the rudest service worker I have ever come in contact with in my entire life. He is rude to every single customer as they check out. Only in New York would a place that is so unfriendly to customers survive. The food is average.

Guy called me up and gave me a lecture that I shouldn't have ordered online if two blocks out of radius and I better not order again. Obviously not a sharp fellow as by definition, having ordered online they've set me up in a permitted delivery area. Guy calling me should be reassigned to a different role. Food was great and reasonably priced though!

The food is really good! I have ordered a variety of dishes here and all have been good. Their eggs are equal to or surpass more expensive diners in the area. The cinnamon raisin bagel is equal to 2 bagels and full of flavor! Overall, big portions and normal prices make this my number one choice for breakfast and bagel place.

Let me tell you, the food is great and the guys on the phone are extremely helpful and nice. They have helped me pick out what to eat and been patient with me when I wouldn't be able to choose. The bagels are delicious and huge! The eggs are great! Get an egg sandwich on a bagel, you will thank me.

I think if you can put up with the people that work there the food is good. Also I don't order more than bagel and cream cheese or small sandwich anyway. Large orders beware!

Agree with the last reviewer, the guy who takes orders is rude. Literally the rudest person I have ever dealt with. Everyone else there is friendly and great, but the guy who always takes the phone orders literally yells at you.

See... Heres the problem. The bagels are great. Seriously. My favorite in the city. But there is one guy who works here who is quite possibly the rudest human being working in the service business EVER - and he's the one who takes the phone orders. Such a bummer. It's like I'm bothering him - trying to put money in his pocket.
