This morning I called this place and ordered the same thing I have ordered from delis for years, croissant toasted w/ American cheese and an everything bagel sliced with nothing on it. When my ordered arrived, much later than they had indicated, and covered in coffee, it was a cold untoasted croissant and an unsliced bagel. Since I don't have a functioning kitchen right now, the slicing and toasting were pretty important to me, since I couldn't fix it myself. I called them to ask them to exchange what I'd ordered for what they gave me and was told, "the guy would have written that down if that's what you had ordered." He then went on to explain that since it was my mistake, they would not be willing to send me a new order. When I asked to speak to the manager he told me he was the manager! What kind of a place is ok with losing a repeat customer's business forever as well as exposing themselves to these kind of reviews over something like that? Especially in this economy? This is not the first time we have had unimpressive service from this place, but this is definitely the last time we will ever order from there.

Bagel Buffet's bagels are ALWAYS fresh and chewy - they beat nearby Murray's hands-down. The only bummer is that unlike Murray's, the place itself is just a simple small place with a few tables. I usuallly enjoy Bagel Buffet at home because their delivery is SUPER fast and their bagels (Everything!!) and various creamed cheese flavors (Lox Spread!!) with a large cup of their fantastic coffee is best enjoyed while sitting on my bad and watching TV I feel like a NYC Princess everytime! By the way, I almost always order in Spanish and the staff always likes that - these guys work so fast behind the counter in the AM they're like "Bagel Jockeys"!! SUPER FRESH Bagels anytime AND unlike Murray's, they'll gladly toast it for you ANYTIME. Love BB!!

When living in Europe, I came to this place for a true NY experience and now that I live in the Southwest, that has not changed a bit. Know what you want to order before you get in line; staff does not like to waste time - quick, quick -, but the food is great. Drinking coffee is going thru the motions: no caffeine, no substance, water with a faint brown color.

This place has some great deals. You can get a ham and cheese omelette, homefries, a bagel with butter, and tea for less than 5 dollars. Its a good and filling meal for much cheaper than a diner. And it all tastes great!
