Bagel & Bean

I have used Bagel & Bean for business catering twice and was happy both times. They showed up on time and were very friendly and helpful. The containers they brought looked nice and were very sturdy, and same for the plates and utensils. The sandwiches and wraps were delicious, as was the side salad and dessert tray. They were also always nice on the phone. The second time I catered a brunch (bagels, croissants, muffins, OJ). The creamcheese platter was the best part. Yum.

Ordered for the first time, based on the previous reviews. I placed 1 order for 2 meals: lunch and dinner: chicken noodle soup; everything bagel with butter, and a French sandwich. The phone guy was very sweet and personable, and delivery was quick. The bagel was just decent, not excellent. I definitely have had better, especially in my neighborhood (UWS). The chicken soup -- it was just not right. It was clean, and obviously homemade, and that is good. however, the celery and carrots in the soup were actually crunchy, and the seasoning was odd. the "French" sandwich was odd. Once again, clean, with fresh ingredients, but rather than using a baguette, as stated on the menu, they used Italian hero bread, and instead of using honey mustard, also stated on the menu, they used brown mustard. not a great condiment for turkey and brie cheese! I would order from here again, because at least the food is fresh and clean.

Friendliest guys, best egg and cheese sandwiches. I look forward to being hungry in the morning on my way to work. Nice being recognzied too.

Awesome food, very cheap, service is absolutely wonderful. They always remember you. Place isn't much to look, but a good choice.

Great salads, healthy, cheap with great selection, and the people here are the nicest ever! They are so friendly with great food!

I go to Bagel & Bean nearly every day. The food is fresh, the coffee is not burnt, the sandwiches are delicious, the prices are great, and the people... well, in my many years in this city I've never met a better bunch. If you want the experience of a real New York Deli?old school style, where everyone knows you and what you like to eat?this is the place for you.

I have never received anything less than stellar service at this little place. I absolutely love it. The people behind the counter serve delicious salads, sandwiches, and pastries, and I always get a great deal. Seriously, this is one of the best little delis in the city.
