    Good food - excelent value

We have eaten here 4 times now and have enjoyed it each time. After doing the rounds of much pricier and uber-trendy Meatpacking District eateries Baby Buddha is a welcome reality check and reinforces the adage that cost equates to quality. Here you will enjoy a most acceptable standard of skilfully prepared and cooked NYC influenced chinese cuisine, in good sized portions and at a cost that makes you question why you have been spending far more at other local restaurants. Certainly the best chicken sesame we've ever had. A great find!

Great Family Chinese Restaurant-Price is Right

Amazingly fast delivery--but also deeply kind people. The owner is there all the time, taking orders over the phone, and they are very child friendly--It is a warm atmosphere, with long employee and customer continuity. The ribs are to die for, the sesame noodles are good, and they ask whether you want to have the chicken sauteed in a dish where it is normally deep fried. Lunch special can't be beat, and the fresh seasonal veg dishes are great.

    Chicken is poor quality

The chicken here is of pretty poor quality. However as the previous reviewer stated, it seems most restuarants must compromise on quality to ensure staying in businiess in such a high cost neigborhood. Sadly Babby Buddha is just the best of a bad bunch, and I fear they will not be in busieness much longer.

why eat here if you don't have to?

I live across the street and in the winter when it is freezing or when there is big rain storm and the cupboard is bare, I eat there. I wouldn't say I like it. The wonton soup and the vegetable soup are safe. It is cheap and that is reflected in the quality of meat. It always leaves me with that oversalted msg feeling. Sadly it is one of the few inexpensive restaurants that remain in this overpriced neighborhood.

super fast and pretty good food

i just went here for the first time. i had read good reviews and had high expectations. i ordered the sesame chicken lunch special and it was ready to takeout in just a few minutes. the staff was very friendly and helpful. the sesame chicken is okay. the flavor is there, but the pieces of chicken were a bit questionable...

    poorest sesame chicken ever

subpar brown rice, egg rolls ok but a little salty. good small portions for a very cheap price. nice people and atmosphere.
