Baby Bo's Cantina

We love this place-- cozy atmosphere, good drinks, great food. The burritos are enormous (you've been warned) but so is everything on the menu-- no matter what you order you will walk out of there full and satisfied. I didn't like the fish tacos much, but everything else I've tried in the 7+ times I've been has been wonderful. My only complaint is it can get pretty busy, even the bar area, and I've never walked in there without having to wait. But a couple drinks at the bar and you'll hardly notice you had to wait at all.

I couldn't disagree more with the previous review. I've been a loyal customer for over a decade and I can tell you the food here has only gotten better over the years. The food is exceptionally fresh and flavorful. Fine use of chile/spice combinations, healthy ingredients, and simple but attractive presentation. Most of the menu requires grilling, sautee, or frying of some kind, (sizzling fajitas or tender duck from a microwave? C'mon). Together with the super friendly service and down home vibe this is a great local hangout.

From 1990-2005 I ate at this place 2x a week. They had the best freshly made salsa. They were the first (that I knew of) in 1990 to introduce chipotle. Their kitchen centers around 3 microwaves-that is how they cook most of their food. I craved their chicken chipoltes enchilada like an addiction. There place is a bit on the dark side (I always wondered if that was so you could not see the ....... Anyway, they went upscale a few years ago and they ruined a great thing. I have been back a few times and it was not the same-sorry.

Good authentic Mexican at reasonable prices. Always packed but worth the wait. Been 5 plus times and never had a bad experience.

This was our third trip to Baby Bo's - service is always great. We were there for brunch - $10.95 prix fixe including one drink! Their margaritas are the best - try mango or pomegranate....loved the breakfast burritos and the venice burrito. Will definitely be back on our next trip to the city

So, I place an order for delivery and an hour later my food still wasnt here. I call the restaurant and the hostess was like, "Oh I guess I didnt write your number down, so the delivery guy couldnt call you and had to come back." Seriously? Are you kidding me? Anyway, so they didnt offer any discounts or even an apology. Clearly they know what they're doing.

We're from Colorado and used to great Mexican-this place beats out any place yet in NYC. Believe me, we've tried A LOT of other places in NYC. The meals are inexpensive, the service was great. The margs were good too. It's our fav Mexican place!
