Best Nachos on the East side
Wow, fantastic nachos! So much cheese, large jalepenos and pretty good guacamole. It's not Dos Caminos guacamole but neither are the prices. The one downfall was the service, poor the night I was there. Asked for salt, never got it. Had to ask another server for drink refills as we never saw our waiter after our food arrived until it was time to ask for the check. The food's good and priced well so I'll go back but will not give my normal 20% gratuity unless something improves.

Seemingly unaffected by renovations
I was thrilled to see Baby Bo's open again, but worried - many places take a turn for the worst after renovations. But not Bo's! The only difference I noticed was the mini margarita's? $7 for a OJ glass sized margarita? Come on where did the life sized 'ritas go?

Oh My God! Yesss They're Open!
I love this place; the Salsa is the best I've had in New York, I actually get cravings in the middle of the week for their chips and salsa. The food is the best and cheapest, the funky deco is marv, and oh, did I mention the BEST MARGARITAS this side of town. Very friendly atmosphere, the waitresses are pleasant and quick and let's not forget Tommy, who make's us laugh every time the girls from MS comes downtown to let our hair down.

They're open again :) :) :)
I went to Baby Bo's after they recently renovated. They opened up the bar area so it looks bigger (and I heard they did some work in the kitchen). Otherwise, the layout is the same, and thankfully the prices don't seem to have gone up. Their vegetarian burrito is the ultimate comfort food for me. Nothing fancy, but with the hot guacamole and sour cream, it just melts in your mouth. Additionally, it is so big I usually wind up bringing half of it home. My husband loves the chipolte chicken, which has an awesome sauce. Their salsa and margaritas are amazing too. This is definitely a place to go to get your Mexican fix!

Hipness and good food
I heard a friend many years agon mention going to Baby Bo's for brunch. I thought "what is she talking about?" Crazy name aside, I later went with same friend and had dinner. And suddenly the name did not matter, nor did it seem silly anymore. This place is FUN. They have a great Mexican "Day of the dead" mural on the long wall (its in an old tenement), and I have not been back since they renovated, but they had a FLY bar with Christmas lights and exotic animal skins behind the bottles. They played Ike & Tina Turner (LOVED it) and other classic R&B and served great Margaritas. The bar scene is worth a paragraph for the reason I mention above (great music), and atmosphere, and yummys MARGS. A few times there was a Donna Summer drag queen lookalike, pretty hip for square ol' Murray Hill. But the food is very satisfying too. Truth told, I order more take out than I go, but either way the food is yummy. Faves: Shrimp Burritos VeraCruz (shrimp Burritos in a tomato tortilla served with garlic-y guac, yum!). Enchiladas Suizas (You pick the meat~spicy green sauce, yum!). Black Bean Soup (Pureed, and nicely spiced. Filling, but I HAVE to order nonetheless, cause it is too good not to.) Super Vegetarian Burrito (Mild or Spicy, mission stylee, and DELICIOUS.) OK, the idea is, meet me there, have a great MARG, and then sit, get served HOMEMADE salsa and fresh warm chips, and then have some elemental, simple, SUPREMLY satisfying Mexican. LOVE this place. Takes the cool factor up a notch in a fairly devoid area.

Got a live voice on the phone!
After weeks of calling and getting the message that they would be open on Valentine's Day (which they weren't sadly), I'm relieved to say they're open. I am going to run, not walk, over there and get my TexMexFix. I went to college in Texas and became addicted to no frills, tasty, cheap Mexican food and fresh brewed ice tea. They have great vegetarian options too. This local place is great for lunch, for a drink after work, dinner, you name it. I'll report back once I've seen the newly renovated space (and, I agree, hopefully old menu) for myself.

They're Open
Called last week, the msg said they were reopening Valentine's Day. I'm excited to see what they did - they had better not have redone the menu!
