Awesome
Baluchis is a great Indian restaurant. I have had their signature Chicken Tikka Masala in tomato & cream sauce, it was just wonderful. The sauce was delicious and perfectly balanced, the chicken was extremely tender and had infused the sauce well. Kashmiri Pulao (saffron rice with fruits) was one of the tastiest rice dishes I have ever had (including Paella in Barcelona and Risotto in Rome). I also liked their Raita (water-thinned yogurt side dish with herbs) very much. I think the prices are well-set, they are certainly in tune with the portion size and ingredient quality. The atmosphere is rather authentic and interesting in that sense. The servers were friendly in general and particularly helpful with my questions. I can't wait to go back!

Consistently good food!
Baluchi's 50% off deal at lunch is great (and they also have a good dinner special if you're associated with NYU). I've ordered most dishes off the menu and they have all been great, though the entrees (especially their signature tikka masala, and saag dishes) definitely outshine the appetizers. The service is friendly and very helpful.

meh
it was okay, nothing special. I would not go there for dinner because it is slightly overpriced for what it is.

Favorite Indian Place
I come to this restaurant on average about once a week. The food is delicious and the staff is friendly. During lunch they have an amazing 50% off deal. Higly recommend the Ka Chori, Channa Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, and the Combination Platter. Portions are great too.

Will be returning...
Really enjoyed our dinner here! All three entrees were very good and the Nan bread was excellent! Great service and atmosphere.

Quite delicious
This place is great for the first-timer as well as the regular. We went on a Wednesday night and enjoyed a long dinner with great service and spicy, delicious food. The waiter did a good job of up-selling, adding alcohol and bread to our small tab, but it was all worth it and quite tasty. A small dining room is perfect for causal couples as well as solo diners. I'd go back tonight!

Can't believe it's a chain
This place is better than Banjara, just as good as Saphire and cheaper. And they don't Americanize it by neglecting spice. I can't believe this is a chain!
