The beer selection was excellent, otherwise this place is only OK. The burger is actually a joke seeing as the bun is twice as big as the burger. The portions are very small and nothing I had was really that good. I am a little surprised to see how good the other reviews are and would love to go back for the beer but otherwise I'll pass.

The mussels that were steamed with Hoeggarden beer were delicious and so much that there was enough for two people. I am happy that I took the waiter's suggestion. Also don't forget to order the belgian waffle for dessert. The waflle was freshly made and still warm when it was served with the whipped cream, chocolate sauce and fresh fruit.

An excellent and much needed addition to the upper east side.

This place is a winner. I'll keep it short and sweet by just saying all the previous reviews are right on target. Food, service, atmosphere, value are tops. Just go and become a"B." liever.

Since I found out there was a Belgian place on the UES I've been here at least once a week. They have just about every kind of Belgian beer available and the food is fantastic. Recommendations? Anything. Seriously anything I've had here I've been very happy with. The Duck club sandwich put me at a loss of words. Frites and Moules are great, as are the chopped salad and corn seafood chowder. As far as beer goes, they actually have been rotating St. Bernardus Abt.12 and the St.B Tripel on draft along with having a steady flow of Leffe Blonde and Leffe Brun, Hoegaarden and Stella. Bottles include Rochefort, Orval, Westmalle, Grimbergen, Troubadour, Chimay, Dekonnick, Maredsous, just to name a few. I've noticed some good Argentine and Australian wines and top shelf liquor, but you'd be crazy to drink anything but the beer. Great place for a date or just hanging out for a few beers. Atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly. Highly Recommend!

This place is an absolute gem. Atmosphere is small, quiet and perfect for a cozy group or date. We tried two appetizers: fried meatballs and smoked salmon plate. Both were stellar! As main meals,: sage chicken, duck breast sandwich and cheeseburger -- NO ONE left unsatisfied, we all kept picking off eachother's plates because it was so good. Their fries were delicious -- just as you would find them in Antwerp at a little stand. Beers -- great! I'm not much of a beer drinker, but I left wanting to take a Belgian beer tour! Staff was as helpful as they could be, but since english was a second language, we ran into a few confusing moments. We will be returning...

We went to B. Cafe with couple friends and we had a great time. Great atmosphere, food and service are Super!! Their beer selection is the best in the upper east side. As far as the food, from the grill pepper & salt shrimp to the 12 oz Steak Frites Belgiques/Seafood Bouillabaise/mussels,all were well presented and very tasty. Server was very attentive and very discrete, we never had to look for him..He gave us great recommendations! B. CAFE is very affordable, everything is under $25 plus they serve large portion. At the end of our meal, we had a Belgian waffle and a Belgian Molten chocolate cake, which is served warm. What we can tell you is that nothing was left in the plates! Our Belgian experience was our best ever! We highly recommend this place and yes we'll be back for sure! * Pros: Great food/atmosphere and value * Cons: Not closer enough from my Long Island home * Overall user rating: Highly Recommended
