Still A Great Place
Too often a year or so after a new place has opened and I've been there a dozen times, I find that either food or service or both have deteriorated. This is NOT the case with B Cafe, it is still thoroughly enjoyable, reasonably priced, consistently delicious and totally unpretentious. It is in many ways a downtown restaurant on the UES.

great belgian food and beer selection
sunday brunch is the best - omelets, burgers, waffles, etc. and get the mussels for dinner! the beer selection is amazing and the service has always been great. we go here all the time. no complaints. also, they are stroller friendly, especially when they are not busy

Great new addition to the UWS
We have eaten at B Cafe for brunch and dinner and have great experiences. The food is high quality, service is friendly and space is unique for the size. Perfect eatery for the UWS.

Great neighborhood place for brunch
We had an amazing brunch here. The service was friendly and attentive. The omlete was perfect and the mussels were delicious. Great Value! We will be back.

Charming Setting, but at best mediocre
Truly unexceptional. Tuna appetizer swimming in soy sauce. Mussels tasteless and not very fresh. Chicken vol au vent? More like chicken a la king swimming in cream sauce. Frittes were tasty but cold. Dessert an OVER cooked belgian waffle with a minuscule scoop of ice cream. Not that expensive but really unappealing.

bring on more side street jewels
so many restaurants on the main streets of the ues have closed sure hope it gets around to prospective restauranteurs that the side steets of the ues offers great opportunities like B cafe which was deservedly packed on a wed eve both inside as well as the garden. we need more of these wonderful pocket restaurants on the side streets and i personally will do my best to partake of them.

Try for the garden seating!
I recently went here with a small group and loved it. You have to get the small fired meatballs served in a yummy dipping sauce for an app. I didnt see it on the menu, but my sister had tried it at the bar before so we ordered 2 for the table (about 5 meatballs per order). I had the tuna which melted in my mouth, my sister got the mussels in beer, her husband got the steak tartare and my boyfriend got the steak. Everything was wonderful!! And the beer list is VERY extensive. I am not a huge fan of gauffres, but we ordered one to share for dessert and everyone raved about it. This is a must try!
