Nothing special besides the ambiance
The food was very bland and none of the items on the menu were creative or delicious. i ordered the linguine and it was mediocre and not cooked well at all. the place looks trendy and fun though.

Poor service means customers lost
My friend of 15 years and a classy well dressed/ mannered team of about 20 close friends decided to celebrate her birthday at B-Bar, as the place has a nice spacious and cozy interior and is located in the middle of beautiful lower Manhattan. When we seated ourselves at the available corner and naturally moved the 3 local tables together - a waiter seemed to have a panic attack saying we are not allowed to do that (move tables), and when asked why he just kept repeating the same line like a parrot not providing a reasonable explanation. A minute into it, he gave up and ran to call his "supervisor" - a female with a very unprofessional attitude to tell us that if we don't like their policy we are free to leave, without even trying to first be courteous. Most of us in the group are from customer service related fields, and are successful in our careers because we know the value of having 20 customers walk through the door ready to lay out money. The "manager" was rude, short handed and just kept repeating we should leave even when we asked why can't we sit at three different tables (back at their position) and pay for our dinner and drinks in three separate checks. (At this point I expressed my dissatisfaction) and she proceeded to get her own superior. A man in a sport jacket came fast and simply told us to leave immediately without even asking what went wrong. It took the diplomacy of a hottest blond in the crew to convince to listen to our side of the incident before just tossing business. (Honestly, I personally would have caused a scene and left anyways, but remained calm for the sake of my friend's b-day). We stayed only because it was becoming too late and we were too hungry to search another spot. The waiter and bar service was rude, rare, and totally wrong. The food is the only star they get. Never again. That kind of service is worth zero stars.

Ok brunch- a bit pricey
Food, atmosphere and service were all good (4PM on a Saturday). Prices were a bit high for the neighborhood. Walk a block or two east and you can have basically the same fare for 1/3 less.

B Bar get an F
Starting with the tuna tartar, things went badly. There was a think layer of rather good tuna tartar on top (1/2") of a thick layer of guacamole (1 1/4"), which constituted most of the dish. Ordering the guacamole and chips continued the outrage. A small dollop of guacamole was suspended in a mountain of chips, the serving was minuscule and not that great to boot. Service was difficult at best. Go if you must, but stick with drinks.

Prices
The prices are exorbitant! Ten dollars for a vodka & sprite? At 4 p.m. on a weekday? Ha! Won't be going back, at least not for drinks.

Too expensive!
I guess you're paying for the ambiance. The food is good, but not great enough to warrant the price.

unpleasant experience.
i've gone here for brunch before, and it was fine. delicious in fact. i came here again today for dinner with 4 of my friends. the food was average. what really made me mad was when they made us wait FORTY-FIVE MINUTES for our check. it took 3 servers and the manager to finally get it to us and it was wrong! i went straight to the manager and spoke to him, he abruptly snatched the check from my hand went into a back room and handed me a new check that WAS STILL WRONG. incredible. no real apologies from any of the 4 people it took to get the check, didn't bother to comp anything at all. truly truly poor service.
