Dry
... was the chicken. The sushi (I got the spicy tuna roll, a friend got a California roll) was pedestrian. The salad tasted bitter. The highlight of the meal was the fruit: the melon slice, strawberry and the orange slice were all delicious. Alas, if only the fruit was what we were there for. Moving away from the food, the service was very good. The waitresses were very attentive and kept filling our glasses with green tea. I must say the tea hit the spot!

Every Friday Azusa is our Lunch Spot
For the last couple of years, we have a tradition to go to Azusa almost every Friday. We are treated like family and the food usually comes fast. I recommend the lunch specials if you are in a $10 lunch budget.

Not bad at all!
Very nice restaurant and attentive service. Food is above average but not outstanding. Recommended!

Best kept secret in midtown!
I was introduced to this place by a japanese friend of mine. I got addicted ever since. It is truly an authentic japanese place. They even have private rooms where you sit on the floor. Excellent quality of food. I wish they would deliver.

A great lunch!
The cooked dishes on the fixed lunch menu are very, very good. The best value is the daily special, but the other menu items are a close second. The sushi bar items are of great quality and fairly priced. I have had bigger portions for less money, but not of this quality. The dinner menu is more complex and greatly expanded over lunch. This place could be addictive.

Lunch
This is the place to go for the lunch special. The price is right and the portions are very large. Good luck finishing it. The service was fantastic, the food was on the table in less than 5 minutes.

Sushi with no sushi bar... odd
I went on a lark for lunch- walking by and seeing a sushi special that sounded too good. They serve a wide range of sushi, but no bar. When I asked the waitress why, she said "sushi bar and sushi men very expensive" and walked away. It took awhile to get the Nebayaki Udon I ended up ordering, but it was pretty good. I eventually tried an order of Unagi (eel) which was also pretty good. The two gentleman near me enjoyed their sushi, but the place was very slow for mid-town lunch - I don't know how they will last.
