    Best Falafel in New York

Seriously this is the best falafel you'll ever have in NYC. Get everything on it and enjoy.

Probably the BEST falafel in NyC!

I accidentally discovered this Hells Kitchen gem one day and I never looked back. I have to admit the owner does seem unfriendly and aloof but his food, especially the beloved falafel, speaks for itself. His ingredients are out in the open for all to see how vibrant and fresh the salads are. If I could I would eat there everyday. Trust this foodie. It's that good.

    Great Falafel, Scary Owner

The first time i ever ordered from this place I called for delivery and they owner berated me on the phone saying "i'm too busy, do not call me" and then hung up. I ended up walking to the place, which was super small, and ordering there instead. The owner is definitely one scary dude but he does make the BEST falfafel pita i've ever had. I've been obsessed with it and could eat it for breakfest, lunch and dinner everyday. I would definitely suggest trying this place out!

    nice change

maybe the owner has mellowed. not much interaction as this is a strictly take out place (3 tables, not a place to eat in). Schwarma and babaganosh very tasty and fresh. Nice alternative to the daily sandwich or salad.

    Owner isn't mean to everyone

The food here is really good and there isn't anything in the area that compares when it comes to quality and price. The owner is known for being prickly towards men but he likes brown girls so he can't be that bad of a guy, right?

    By far the best!

I have been going to Azuri for 5 years, and no matter how hard I try, I never find anything that comes even close. The fallafel is incredible. All of the sauces and vegetables that go into it are delicious. I also love the platter and recently got the chicken shnitzel which was made fresh in front of meand of course was perfect. The service I have received while eating in was very good!! The owner is much nicer and warmer than he gets credit for. I am proud to have introduced many people to Azuri...who always thank me after. At my old job, I used to take a 25 minute walk weekly to pick up lunch from here. Highly recommended!

    Great food!

This little place is a definite recommend! The owner wasn't the most friendliest but the employees and food certainly make up for it! I'm so glad I read the other reviews and tried it out for myself!
