    amazing.

The sirloin for two is outstanding. This is the best steak I've had (multiple times) in NY - and this coming from a former vegetarian! With the music, it can be a bit loud on weekends, but the food is amazing.

    taste of buenos aires

Great place, very traditional parilla. Service can be a little slow but the waitstaff is nice. Very reasonable price for excellent steak, and a very good wine list.

A Perfect Fit for the New LES

Too much $$$ for too little quality. Loud, dark, and below average. Seriously, just read the other reviews, these people have been rude since 2006. I wish I had known and I would never have gone.

    Not recommended

I know that people need to do their jobs and new restaurants need to turn tables but it should never feel like it. I will also say that we were waiting on a member of our party to order our main course but we had drinks on our table and appetizers on the way. The empanadas were hot and greasy with the meat dry on the inside and the chorizo was similarly shoe-y. Plus, a little cup of oil with cilantro on the bottom shouldn't be called chimichurri. We all had different main courses. The gnocci was hard to swallow, steak frites underwhelming, and sea bass not worth the price. My friend said she liked her chicken but it looked grey to me and, full disclosure, she picked the place. I did really like the decor but the lighting was WAY too low and we had to shout across a small table. Service? More than a little attentive. They were pleasant but panicked and I swear everyone who worked there had come by our table at some point or another. I really don't think we were monopolizing the table but we more than got the hint to leave when they took our water glasses and candles, leaving us in the dark. I would like for this review to be a pointer in how not to run a restaurant. I feel cheated out of the money I spent (too much for too little) and I will not be returning.

    cute place

The scene on a Saturday night was a very mixed crowd of people in their 20s and 30s. Crowded and lively with attentive service. Food was not memorable though. Octopus and mussles to start. The octopus was drowned in beans, but the mussles were great and a good size portion. Main courses were the salt baked trout and the skirt steak. Both again good size portions, but a bit bland. Dessert was the flan which was done nicely. Glad I tried it, but I am not running back.

    Love, love, love this place

This place is a complete treat from start to finish. I absolutely adore the baby octopus, the steak for two, and the flan. Everything is filled with so much flavor - without being overpowering. I just wish their portions were bigger - I can't get enough! This place is a must when you are in the LES!

    Like Palermo Viejo

This is the best take on a genuine parilla I've been to in the city, reminds me of one of the great little places you'd find in Palermo Viejo in Buenos Aires. Wonderful for a casual dinner or date.
