cramped tables, cool vibe
very cramped tables. Cool vibe, especially in the summer. The food was good and the service was decent.

Menu lies! Way over priced
Don't believe the portions on the size of the steaks! The sirloin for 2 was listed at 24 oz. , couldn't have been 12! Really! The food itself was good, not prime. The place was really dark. There is no A/C . Go somewhere else for these prices.

Way too expensive
Last night I invited two people for dinner to this restaurant. We waited two hours for a table. They gave us a table right next to the entrance which it was very inconvenient to us. We only ate a Parrilla for two due that we -the girls don't eat much, we had one glass of the house wine, one soda and water that was all, when the bill came to the table it was $90 I looked at it and for my surprise the cashier managed to put charges over charges so I paid and we left but I wasn't happy with such big bill for so little amount of food we had. The Parrilla was 3 sausages, 2 small pieces of beef, 2 blood sausages, and 2 small pieces of lamb, 1 serve of french fries and little green salad -Food was not that bad -however, I'll recommend not to go there if you're in the budget for dinner.

disappointing
Poor experience at Azul... service took forever, when appetizers arrived they were underwhelming, greasy, and cold. Steak - their specialty - was way overcooked. We ordered it rare and it came close to well done, and it only got more cooked since it was served on sizzling hot iron platters. The room was cold and quite dark - so dark it was hard to read the menus. They seem to do good business, though - I guess there's a market for overcooked meat on the LES.

amazing.
The sirloin for two is outstanding. This is the best steak I've had (multiple times) in NY - and this coming from a former vegetarian! With the music, it can be a bit loud on weekends, but the food is amazing.

taste of buenos aires
Great place, very traditional parilla. Service can be a little slow but the waitstaff is nice. Very reasonable price for excellent steak, and a very good wine list.
